It's Halloween Time .... almost.
Are you sending out Halloween cards?? No???
Instead of a card you could also attach the design to the front of a trick or treat bag or a gift bag. So think outside he box and have fun with this.
This image is one stamp and isn't it cute!!!! I colored it with Copics and cut out the blank area in the center and mounted a grey brown colored CS to that area. I added a little PearlEx to give it some pizzazz . I have a fence border punch from Martha Stewart and used that to frame the card on 3 sides. Added a little ribbon and this card is finished.
Supplies used:
Stamps - Art Impressions U1546
PearlEx
Punch - Martha Stewart fence
Ink-VersaMark
Black Detail EP - EP171 Sparkle N Sprinkle
Copic Markers - C-1,E43, E57, YR09, YR68, YR69,YG03
Spica Pen - clear (Made by Copic)
Ribbon
Make sure to stop over at the Art Impressions blog and check out the challenge this week. It's all about Halloween. So get out your stamps and enter, you could be the winner of a $10.00 gift certificate to use in their store. Have a great day.

Happy Birthday
Hi Everyone,
When it comes to card making, birthdays are not like all the different seasons/holidays of the year.If you are like me, I kind of wait to see what the new stamps that are coming out on the market are going to look like before I make my Christmas cards or a fall/Halloween or an Easter card. I might want to get that newest stamp or maybe I just use a stamp from my stash. When it comes to birthdays it seems that there is always a birthday coming up for someone in the family or a friend. And I usually just go to my stash and decide who the card is for, what they like and go from there.
This is a card I designed for a friend who's birthday is coming up soon. I used my newest Martha Stewart Punch around the Page set. I must say, this is my favorite so far. Even though we are going into a season of browns and oranges and reds I decided to use a shimmery yellow cs and that is how this card started. I selected a pretty stamp from Art Impressions, mini sunflower F2692. And as I looked for a Happy Birthday sentiment, E597, I found that I had one that was written all the way across, however I needed one where the word "happy" was above the word "birthday". I didn't have one so I decided to take the stamp I have and make it look the way I needed it to.
Here is a trick to change the look of the sentiment:
I just stamped the sentiment, and I then stamped it again underneath the first stamping, lining up the word Birthday underneath the word Happy. Wella, I now have the sentiment in more of a square shape instead of a rectangle and it looks better on this card.

It's the Fall Season
Hi Stampers,
I want to share a card that I think shows the colors of fall. I used one of the Flower Fairies Friends sets from Crafters' Companion. I used Lavender. She is beautiful however I wanted to use the beautiful fall colors, so I cut off the sprig of lavender that she usually holds in her hands and replaced it with a beautiful leaf. I used a combination of Copic Markers and Fresco Inks to color the fairy.
This card will be entered in the following:
Crafters' Companion September Challenge

A Foggy Nite
Hi Everyone
I just love trees and since fall is on its way in, I thought I'd use this tree that I just received. And I tried to make it really eerie looking.
I added 2 corners using holographic paper and I toned them down using a Copic Marker and the bottom one looks a little scribbly, sorry for that. Sometimes lighting or lack there of, just works against me.
To achieve this look, stamp black CS with VersaMark, cover with clear EP and heat. Next using chalks or Perfect Pearls sponge on the gold color around the moon and purple thru the mid section and a green gold at the bottom.Next ink up the stamp again and then stamp trees again to make the scene appear to have more trees in a foggy area. When you stamp the VersaMark onto the chalked CS make sure you clean the stamp, as it will be removing the chalk for the CS. I also extended the trees to the purple panel just to add more interest.
Supplies used:
Art Impressions Stamps - Lg. Birch P1398, Bats w/ Moon F1108
Perfect Pearls - Gold, Green, Purple
Ink - VersaMark
Paper - Purple CS, Black CS, Holographic CS

Holiday Cheer
Hi Everyone,
I've been working on holiday projects lately and I thought you might like to see the tag I just finished. I know, you are thinking.... Christmas??? Now??? Halloween isn't even here yet. Christmas will be here sooner than you think. It always sneaks on me. And, if you are like me, I usually wait to the last minute to get my Christmas packages wrapped and ready to give.So here is a great idea for a tag to use on one of your gifts and I am making mine early this year and placing them with my Christmas wrapping so at least the tags will be waiting for me. I used the Just Imagine /Kreations holly punch 914, which is the perfect punch to go with the Sizzix leaves I used on this tag. Check out the bottom corners, I used insert C on the punch to get that corner punch look. The penguin and the sentiment are stamps from 2 new sets from Sparkle N Sprinkle. The Pengie is in set 438 and the sentiment is in set 439.
Products used:
Tag - Accucut die
Holly - Sizzix Die
Glitter - Sparkle N Sprinkle - Parisian Mist G1007, Fire Engine Red G1007
Stamps - Sparkle N Sprinkle: Penguin in the Playful Pengies set 438, Sentiment in Tis the Season set 439
Ribbon - May Arts
Paper- Green CS, Red CS, Designer Paper
Copic Markers- YR65, YR61, R29, C-1, C-5, 100
Punch -Just Imagine/Kreations - Punch 914
Well that is it for today. Stay tuned for more card creations
Have a great week,

Meet the Teachers
Hi Stampers,
Art Impressions' challenge this week has a theme of "back to school". Well I don't have kids or grand kids so this theme was definitely a challenge for me (no pun intended). I thought stamp U1552 Party Group, was a perfect stamp to use. Now I took some creative license with this stamp, I cut off the dancing lady in the spaghetti strap gown, too risque' for a school function, and Cliff was holding a package and I changed it to a folder. Can't you see these guys as teachers. What a hoot that would be. LOL
We'd like to see your card entered in the challenge at Art Impressions this week, for a chance to win a $10. gift certificate from Art Impressions.

Hello everyone,
I just received this elephant stamp (U2285) and I wanted to use it right away because this is such a cool stamp. I love elephants and would love to go on a real safari to see these huge animals in their own environment. But in the meantime, I guess I will have to go to the zoo, instead. However since the Cincinnati Zoo is one of the best zoo's in the US, that will be a great adventure all by itself.
OK, here is the card that was created with that elephant stamp as the focal point.

Well that's it for today. Stop back tomorrow for my design for the Art Impressions Challenge for the week.

Noel
Hi Stampers,
Whoa, it's September 1. Where has this year gone?? I know I am a little early, but the stores are getting their Christmas stuff out already. So I think I am getting in the Christmas mood because of that.So with that in mind this cute little stamp was just begging to be used. So, I thought I'd pass on some Christmas inspiration to you today. This stamp would look so cute adorning a gift tag as well.
