Welcome to the Jungle

Hi there and welcome back to my blog

This month at Craft-Dee Bowz the theme for the Designers is pets animals or bugs. I decided to use a stamp that I have had for years. I love this giraffe. He is so pretty. I just want to pet him.

That paper behind the giraffe was made using an embossing folder and I then used Distressed Inks to arrive at this background panel. The brown ripped paper piece is from a scrapbook sheet that I had in my stash. Perfect for this card.

Let me show a closer view of this bow.

I used my Craft-Dee BowZ tool to make my bow. Easy peasy with that great tool. Your bows can look like this too when you use the CDB tool.

Hello everyone,
Oh my, spring is 3 weeks away and I know we are all chomping at the bit for it's arrival, I know I am. However I bet we have a late spring this year, and I sure hope I'm wrong on this one. I know I am looking forward to spring because my creative muse seems to hibernate in this cold weather. I seem to want to curl up and get under covers to stay warm.

Since this is a new month, you know that means, it's time for a new challenge over at Craft-Dee BowZ.Let me share my inspiration project with you.

I used a designer paper because I loved the sentiment that is printed on the side. It looks like the words are glued on but nope thats just the way the DP came.

I just received that pretty flower stamp and thought it would look great positioned next to the sentiment. After I stamped it on the DP I decided to paper piece the blooms. Used another DP for the paper piecing. Next I added a pretty rose glitter on the flower outline and those large pearls were the perfect fit on the center of the blooms. I added a pretty green glitter to the swirly stems and on that stamp there are dots that add so much interest, so I covered them with tiny pearls to finish this off.

    Mema's Crafts Bonus Challenge

    Hi there
Welcome to the Prima Doll and Paper Piecing
    "Bonus Challenge."
    at Mema's Crafts

Don't you love a contest. There's a great contest over at Mema's Crafts that won't take much of your time and you could be the winner. Since I am one of the designers (an M&M girl), my design is among the submissions. OK so here's the scoop:

    Background:
All of us M&M girls over at Mema's Crafts Design Team were provided one Prima Doll and a Julie Nutting Tag to use for this challenge.  We were not required to use the tag but the Prima Doll was definitely a requirement.

Additionally as an added challenge we were asked to use some type of paper piecing in our project. We could create whatever but the focus was definitely the Prima Doll.

    Here is my submission:

I paper pieced her dress and used dimensional foam to pop the top layer of her skirt up. The bow on that darling dress is pieced with another darker blue paper. I also used that same paper to use on her shoes. You know we all have to coordinate our dresses and shoes. LOL  Her crown is topped off with silver glitter to give her that added sparkly touch. Ribbon and lace and a punched border piece finish the tag and I added a fluffy bow to top it all off.
