This was so much fun putting this together, I used stickers on the corners and added glittered doodles. The net is an onion bag.Yep an onion bag!! Those fishies in the net are stickers and are perfect for the net. For the seaweed I used pieces of arborvitae. I colored the mermaid image with colored pencils and blended with gamsol.

Crafty Creations Challenge #315 - May Your Day

    Hi there
             Thanks for stopping by.
Today is the start of challenge #315 over at Crafty Creations Challenges .
The theme for this challenge is monochromatic.
This is a great theme, (one of my favorites) lots of options. Hope you like it too!!

Let me share the card I made for this challenge

This was a fun card to make and all the flowers on my card were made by me. I  punched out the flowers and shaped them into 3 dimensional shaped blossoms.

I love to make flowers and using a few tools to shape them, really makes those flowers come alive.

The winner of this challenge will receive a prize from our own Jaime Schlangen, with a prize from her Etsy shop Inky and Scrappy!!  Thanks Jaime!

    Music is Life

    Hello everyone
    Thanks for stopping in today.

Today is the first Tuesday of the month and it's time for my project for Craft-Dee BowZ. Each month the challenge  theme for submitters to the Craft-Dee BowZ challenge is always Anything Goes. However, the designers have a theme for their Tuesday posts and our theme for May
     is Music to my Ears.

Well let me tell ya, I just had no musical themed items in my stash.
So off I went, on a quest, to find just the right items and I was very successful.

Let me share with you my finished card and then I will list below what I used.

This was a fun theme and I love all the items I was able to add to the card.

My bow was made with satin ribbon and I made a triple loop bow.

    Here is a closer view.

I used my CDB bow maker to make this bow.
I love this tool, it's easy to use and easy to store or even travel with.

    A Bird Does Not Sing

    Hi Everyone,
Happy Saturday and welcome to May (Holy Moly!! I can't believe it's May already.)  Since it's the 1st of the month, it's time for another Craft-Dee BowZ challenge. The designers always start out the month with an inspiration piece over on the CDB blog.

For my inspiration piece, I decided to use a bird stamp from the Dina Wakley Scribbly Birds set.

I love the birds in this set. They are so cheery

I added some greenery, a few little pink flowers and some designer paper, embossed the right half of the card and of course added a bow.
I decided a triple loop bow would be the right size bow to finish this card off.

Here's a close view of my triple loop bow.

The Craft-Dee BowZ tool really is a great bow maker.
It's what I use to make all my bows.

    It goes where you go.
    The dowels store inside!
Take it with you to stamp parties too!
If you are bow making challenges, this is the tool for you.
