A Christmas Rose

Hello everyone

Christmas is right around the corner, isn't it?? Hope you have all your cards made out and mailed. I still have a few to mail.  I will be doing that Monday.

Here is a card that I made for the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends challenge. Hope you like it.

I used the Christmas Rose image from Fred She Said.

I used a pink color - I know, not the traditional Christmas colors we are used to seeing. I like thinking outside the box now and then.
I colored the rose a pink shade and used green for the greenery. Those red berries are a great addition to this pretty image. When I started assembling the card, I printed the image on cream CS and colored it and decided to use an oval die. I then accented the oval shape with a gold oval that just peeks out on the right side. On the left side of the oval, I added punched and die cut greenery. To balance the gold from the right side of the oval, I added a few gold sprigs in the greenery. Next, I used some red rhinestones and some gold outline sticker dots to finish this card

Here is a peek of the inside of the card

And the stockings were hung.....

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping back.

You know Christmas is approaching FAST!! I seem to always be making cards at the last minute. However this year I am more prepared. (YEA!!!)  All of my Christmas cards are done.

Today is the 1st Tuesday of the month and that means its time for me to post a fun inspiration project for Craft-Dee BowZ.

Since we are really getting closer to Christmas, I decided to spotlight another Christmas card.
I have used an image from Bugaboo and I hope you like this one.

I have been on a foiling kick lately. I decided to foil this image so I printed this image out 3 times using my laser printer. I foiled each of the images in a different color. I used blue, green and red foils. I used my Heidi Swapp Minc Machine to apply the foil to the laser printed areas.

I used blue foil for the base image. That made the snowflakes and the sentiment foiled in blue.

For the next image, (I foiled it in green foil) I took the green foiled piece and added some green alcohol marker coloring between the foiled lines, fussy cut just the two green foiled stockings and attached them with dimensional foam, over the original stockings.  Lastly, I took the 3rd image, I foiled it with red foil and also colored between some of the lines with some red alcohol marker. I fussy cut just the red foiled stocking and attached it over the green image with dimensional foam to pop this up

Here is a closer view that will show off those foil colors.

I intentionally left the glare on the image to show off the foiling and the colors.

Here is the finished card.

Here is the card I made using the darling Snowflake Reindeer Silhouette
from Bugaboo

I printed it out on my laser printer onto a light blue cardstock. Next, I foiled the image using my Minc machine, using a gunmetal colored foil. Next I fussy cut it out and mounted it onto layered ovals.

I also used some snowflakes outline stickers and some silver washi tape.
That blue bow is a blue sheer double loop bow (looks great with the blue cardstock I have used)
and the sentiment is another outline sticker.

Hope you get some inspiration from my card
especially if you are in the midst of making your Christmas cards.
