Winter Wonderland

Hello crafters,
WOW this month is winding down fast, isn't it!!!

I thought I'd pop in with an inspiration card on behalf of Craft-Dee BowZ.
I know we are getting closer to Christmas and the weather here is really warm, but that (sadly) is about to change.
The ole weatherman  is telling us really cold temps
are coming my way Thursday nite.

So since we are entering the Christmas and the colder season,
you know that means....maybe SNOW.
I know most of us hate that word, hahaha.

I decided to share a winter card, to get us ready for what possibly lies ahead.

This little cutie is called "Sleigh Ride" and she is really having the time of her life.
The digi is available from Cute As A  Button, and is available here

My bow, is made with the Craft-Dee BowZ tool

and you can order yours on the  Craft-Dee BowZ site.
It's easy to use and very portable and stores nicely.
Look for the Buy Now button on the left sidebar.

October Stamp Club Theme card

Welcome back
Today I want to share my other card that I made for my Tuesday nite club meeting.
The theme project -  layers. That is a pretty easy theme.
We also do a challenge project and I posted about that on Wednesday.
Click here to see that post.

This card is pretty easy to do and I hope you might  give it a try.

My card has 4 layers
Red base card, white CS, green designer paper and the white layer on the top.
I made my cuts on the white CS and then I embossed the top white layer
just to add interest to the card
After folding down the cuts, the  tree shape is revealed
and after laying it on the green DP that tree really stands out
This is really pretty easy to do,
click here to check out this site for the instructions.

I added a circular layered sentiment to the bottom
and that finishes the card.

SUPPLIES I USED ON MY PROJECT
Stamps:  My Sentiments Exactly - Christmas Time
Paper/Card Stock
: Red CS, White CS, DP
Ink: Memento -  Tuxedo Black
Accessoriesdimensional foam, Spellbinders Circle Dies, Starform Stickers - Silver Dots (My favorite embellishment)

October Stamp Club Challenge Card

Hello crafty people

Last night was the monthly stamp club gathering and we had a great time as always.

Last month we were given a challenge piece that was a real challenge for me.
(I guess that's why its considered a challenge)
It is a lenticular lens scene - halloween themed. I know you are wondering what is a lenticular lens??? We we've all seen them and held them and looked at them with some awe, or at least I have. A lenticular lens will change if you move it back and forth. Check out the definition here

I took a few pics of the piece in hopes you can see the scene changes if I re-positioned my hand.

The ghosts are different and so is the pumpkin

OK anyway, this piece is large, it's a 6"X 6" piece
and if I trimmed it, some of the scenes would be cut off
So I decided to make a trick or treat bag
and this challenge piece would be the focal point
of a bag topper.

I used a white gift bag and covered the front with an orange print DP piece

Next I made my bag topper
I cut a scalloped rectangle and then layered a purple scalloped rectangle piece over that.
On the purple layer I added the lenticular piece.
Adding some bats and some scull & cross bones die cuts really finished it off.

I slid it onto the bag over one of the handles and WELLA.....
it's a trick ot treat bag

This bag could also be used as a larger spooky dried flower arrangement holder
or a great gift bag to hold a gift

I love making bag toppers.
They really dress up a plain bag.
I think it gives the bag its own personality.

SUPPLIES I USED ON MY PROJECT
Paper/Card Stock: Purple CS, Black CS, DP
Ink: Distress Ink - Old Paper (used on the skull & bones)
Dies Used: Sizzix Tim Holtz Mini Bat & Skull set (Movers & Shapers)  Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Rectangles
Accessories: White Gift Bag, Lenticular Lens Halloween scene

I am submitting my project in the following challenges:

Stop back Friday to see the themed card I made for the October meeting

Hope you got some inspiration from this project.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to see you again on Friday.

When I think of the beginning of fall, I always think of pumpkins

I used a step card to showcase this adorable image

I added a stamped pumpkin image behind the digital image
