If it didn't make it on one card, chances are it will get used on a card in he future. LOL The center stamped image and the sentiment are from Spellbinders BetterPress Letterpress system. And I really love this system. The plates get inked up and then I ran it thru my Big Shot machine. The plates deboss the paper and leave a super crisp image that you can then color. I used some watercolor to color the image. Those swirl flower and leaves in the corners, they are from a tile that I got at Dollar Tree. I used part of the tile and had these left over so I put them in my scrap box. Well, when I made this card I needed something for the corners and I liked the way these looked on the card and they were the right size so I used them.</p><div style="text-align: left;">As I mentioned earlier the <b><a href="https://lovetoscrapchallengeblog.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Love To Scrap</a></b> challenge has begun and will be running til April 15. I would love to see your project. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I hope I have inspired you and I will be back soon with another project.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="51" data-original-width="166" height="51" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFVRRk6ymHkoevc1XSiSBJPw0-ZIIoEMbGTgW4M5GJoHwOOLys9Dyd3QyKWtjN3MMDFrTwv1UP1c-m3nRHi2QMia2fuNht1pLxOLnS8AivOl-y_xAyj_KH2kLxr9Pd9lB9nXss1rvKAU2kX9f5Je2n3jgnKHfsd_PEo_pHMY-bv0Hy5x-k3HQedX9yS-k/s1600/My%20Signature.png" width="166" /></div>Barbara Bruderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12767793286467293392noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8114928556907082453.post-15706357275286275372024-03-01T06:02:00.053-05:002024-03-01T06:02:00.131-05:00Merry Christmas<div style="text-align: left;">Hello and lets welcome the month of March. January is here and 2023 just flew by. The first <a href="https://birthstonechallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Birthstone Challenge</a> for the year has started. For this challenge I usually go thru all my leftover bits and pieces that weren't quite right for other projects and use them on a card/project that I make for the <a href="https://lovetoscrapchallengeblog.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"><b>Love To Scrap Challenge</b></a>.</p><p>For me, its fun as I go thru a whole bunch of stuff I have saved and come up with a card to share with you all. </p><p>That big pink oval was calling to me and then I spied a smaller oval cut from DP in the pink family and it worked well with the large oval. The stamped bird had a pinkish colored flower and that seemed to fit with the pink colors I was looking at and then I spied a fence just waiting for something to sit on it. My background DP has pink in it, so, it all works well together (IMHO)</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPE-2pPNTABR4CuqRzgwNrYKm2vX-lSaQIZJD-PKoOb3hujd7VZA5OYv7EceDie_x83MQA8qSh_YH1Un9SCFNjX0v-m2Vca7I6sYaJyx-Poo4h7HWBtSklOYRwx38jTRx0v4LGmFMJa4yjADyYk31oaEqPizDeX9MgNvZAbKpA7tdrYHf7hUQoV0Q6Qmk/s500/2024-LTS%20January.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="348" height="425" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPE-2pPNTABR4CuqRzgwNrYKm2vX-lSaQIZJD-PKoOb3hujd7VZA5OYv7EceDie_x83MQA8qSh_YH1Un9SCFNjX0v-m2Vca7I6sYaJyx-Poo4h7HWBtSklOYRwx38jTRx0v4LGmFMJa4yjADyYk31oaEqPizDeX9MgNvZAbKpA7tdrYHf7hUQoV0Q6Qmk/w296-h425/2024-LTS%20January.jpg" width="296" /></a></div><br /><p>Well if you are like me, you save lots of things. So go thru them and make a card. and submit it here at the <a href="https://lovetoscrapchallengeblog.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"><b>Love To Scrap Challenge</b></a>. I know I'd love to see what you have made. </p><p>Thanks so much for stopping in today to see my project!!</p><p>I will be back soon</p><p><img border="0" data-original-height="51" data-original-width="166" height="51" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVPDegM2qy_xu1hBpW1DXEGXsHCwDSxZZ8bAaZHy6AQ_89RUgQy2LItiqIeih5Y3EXhFI1lbw04qxNF0SaUEOfA7A6mS9qHeNhX6ltIYc1LOPibYpbSvOmUEzThuHyDO4WdMFVrYhekEYAhtpKCQgUAlaVtqVFFeW47d3hPWzakb4GWV0RxLfQJWW5JD0/s1600/My%20Signature.png" width="166" /></p>Barbara Bruderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12767793286467293392noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8114928556907082453.post-73897239116145175512024-01-01T06:01:00.237-05:002024-01-01T06:01:00.125-05:00T'was The Night Before Christmas<p> Hi Everyone, </p><p>Welcome to 2024 !!!!!! Hope your Christmas was a great one. I know Christmas is over but I am always looking for something for the <i><b>next</b></i> Christmas challenge over at the <a href="https://merrylittlechristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Merry Little Christmas Challenge</a> blog. And the Merry Little Christmas challenges are always Christmas themed so if you like to make Christmas cards all year long, this challenge is right up your alley. The January/February challenge has begun so, let me share with you my card for this challenge. </p><p>Different looking cards always catch my eye and this one sure did. Easy to do. LOL</p><p>This mini album was really easy to make and after I made the base, I wondered what to use for the theme. Since I have made lots of Christmas cards for my consignment places, I decided on a different theme..... butterflies. I am rushing spring, hahaha.</p><p>Let me share my project pics.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This mini album (folded) is 3 1/2 X 3 1/2</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; Since the albums should be "mini", the size should be no more than 6" on any side, must have at least three pages (the more the merrier) and must be embellished/decorated. Photos are optional. The album can have any kind of binding such as rings, wire, ribbon, staples, glued tabs, etc. Or accordion or flap type with no binding. Just remember they must have at least three pages. No blank undecorated albums. </i>This Mini Album Mania challenge </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-size: 15.84px;">runs November 1 thru December 15.</span></p><p>I love making albums and the one I am sharing with you today is one of my fav's and it's perfect for the upcoming holiday season. This album was hard to photograph so I apologize for the pic's, I wish they were better.</p><p>My album is 6"X6" which is my favorite size to make. </p><p>This album has 6 pages and the way the pages are designed and folded, each page is like a Z. So there are really more that 6 page surfaces. Each page has one 6"X6" surface front and back and two 3"X6" surfaces front and back. There are many pullouts and if you see ribbons in the pics, that means there is a pullout in that spot. (LOL). I can already smell the turkey baking away in my kitchen. Yum Yum</p><p>Well since its a new month its also the start of a new challenge over at <span style="font-family: inherit;"> <a href="https://birthstonechallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"><b>Birthstone Challenges</b></a>. It starts today, (November 1). </span>The challenge runs November 1 thru December 15.</p><p><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">The Birthstone Challenge is a color challenge blog, welcoming all types of handmade projects such as cards, scrapbook layouts, ATCs, mixed media, altered items, 3-D projects, etc. using the featured birthstone colors. </span></span></p><p style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">There are two birthstone colors featured in each challenge and those colors must be the main colors seen in the gallery. You're required to use only one of the colors in each of your projects, however, you may use both if you want. A monochrome color pallet would be wonderful but not required. </span></p><p style="background-color: white; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Here are the colors for the November/December challenge</span></p><p style="background-color: white; text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1Qet6IIINVriIYOotjnZ1x_qIOKvk4UbesG5hRUFRhRjLM8HC9oEFgyxrdI4DWJf9TbQEY9DEsn80j1nQgwSFiXWVTzjwgGVFzbKYpYjzk9hU8kcMxtCUR3yU9D2eFKQnC3DbfiP1oZipSw0websKYiCbRRAvP2PiLvbJAg45STdLdnPU3G4L7lw1paM/s1026/Nov-Dec.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="252" data-original-width="1026" height="79" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1Qet6IIINVriIYOotjnZ1x_qIOKvk4UbesG5hRUFRhRjLM8HC9oEFgyxrdI4DWJf9TbQEY9DEsn80j1nQgwSFiXWVTzjwgGVFzbKYpYjzk9hU8kcMxtCUR3yU9D2eFKQnC3DbfiP1oZipSw0websKYiCbRRAvP2PiLvbJAg45STdLdnPU3G4L7lw1paM/s320/Nov-Dec.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I chose the color of turquoise to use on my project.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSadrTq27n1nEGsSAz8X6y2A56915N4YpRQdF4Lp0GLnA3bxnU0WP-0JIy_KeH48zWq5RupZFnKPyEA-NQubwvhB4VY2oc_V7kl4o6NiPGC7W9RxBZnomHqrOgukcUMXdDTYbt0JPAWziRV-9Jaoeb78Zc8jUu7xyzqgunWpuhSHEGJcibL7nwZ2nTTz0/s500/2023%20Nov%20Birthstone%20Topaz%20&%20Turquoise.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="362" height="428" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSadrTq27n1nEGsSAz8X6y2A56915N4YpRQdF4Lp0GLnA3bxnU0WP-0JIy_KeH48zWq5RupZFnKPyEA-NQubwvhB4VY2oc_V7kl4o6NiPGC7W9RxBZnomHqrOgukcUMXdDTYbt0JPAWziRV-9Jaoeb78Zc8jUu7xyzqgunWpuhSHEGJcibL7nwZ2nTTz0/w310-h428/2023%20Nov%20Birthstone%20Topaz%20&%20Turquoise.jpg" width="310" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">For my project I added a few die cuts to accent the magnolia branch that graces the card. I glued strips to the front of the bag. I embossed my strips but you can use left over CS or DP to add some additional beauty to the bag. Next I used an Accu-Cut die cut bag topper. I actually cut 2, one in white and one in blue CS and attached them off center. I embossed the blue CS one using a snowflake folder. I also used punched snowflakes to add additional interest to this topper. I added rhinestones to the center of the snowflakes and some glitter just to give the flakes more omph!! I know you are saying you don't have one of those large dies to make the bag topper. Well I have a solution for you.<a href="https://artandsoulcreations.blogspot.com/2023/09/a-fractured-bag-topper.html" target="_blank"> Click on this link</a> to check out how to make a topper with no bag topper die at all. It's easy peasy. <p></p><p>OK lets go on the 2nd part of this project, the card.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5V3cKy8OXyR9Nbt6w8e3rXlfBBIgTraRpDiRbZnTF-oXSlrGCvuhk38ga2O-0X7DBSjcJlwEK2GNho5AUbQZywRvYr4EKQc_HujlsTvyAuAwTWbcUUnFFs4K6lJrmQSZfGFdSbfzbaRF_kwGPr5hgzRQTr2Ni-yxUpdk9ivSwE4h8ntiIlnG14ngElhk/s500/2023-Nov%20MLC1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="336" height="418" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5V3cKy8OXyR9Nbt6w8e3rXlfBBIgTraRpDiRbZnTF-oXSlrGCvuhk38ga2O-0X7DBSjcJlwEK2GNho5AUbQZywRvYr4EKQc_HujlsTvyAuAwTWbcUUnFFs4K6lJrmQSZfGFdSbfzbaRF_kwGPr5hgzRQTr2Ni-yxUpdk9ivSwE4h8ntiIlnG14ngElhk/w281-h418/2023-Nov%20MLC1.jpg" width="281" /></a></div><br /><p>The card is 5X7. The card base is white CS and the layered piece is DP. I cut a rectangle out on the left side of the card along with the DP. I embossed a piece of vellum and put it between the card base and the DP. Next I added a silver frame. Lastly I added some punched snowflakes and put rhinestones in the centers, added some glitter and added the sentiment and that finished the card. </p><p>These two, the card and the decorated bag, make a great duo for any gift.</p><div style="background-color: white; font-size: 15.84px; text-align: justify;"><div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Products I used:</span></div><div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; text-align: left;"><b style="font-family: inherit;">CS used </b><span style="font-family: inherit;">- White CS, DP, Silver CS, Light Blue CS</span></div><div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>Ink used </b>- Momento - Paris Dusk</span></div><div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>Misc used </b>-MS Punch - Snowflakes, glitter</span></div><div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>Dies used </b>- Accu-Cut Bag Topper</span></div><div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>Stamp used</b> - Old sentiment</span></div><div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />I am submitting my project to the following challenges:</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: red; font-family: arial;"><ul style="font-size: 19.7653px; line-height: 19.404px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0.5em 0px; padding: 0px 2.5em; text-align: center;"><li style="border: medium none; font-size: 16.335px; line-height: 19.404px; margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px; text-align: left;"><span face="verdana, geneva, sans-serif"><a href="http://livelaughstamp.blogspot.ca/" style="text-decoration-line: none;">Ellibelle's Crafty Wednesday</a></span><span face="verdana, geneva, sans-serif"> </span><span face="verdana, geneva, sans-serif" style="font-style: italic;">M, Wed, E3 -</span><span face="verdana, geneva, sans-serif"><i> </i>Anything Goes (#4)</span></li><li style="border: medium none; font-size: 16.335px; line-height: 19.404px; margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px; text-align: left;"><a href="https://thecraftyaddicts.blogspot.com/" style="text-decoration-line: none;" target="_blank">The Crafty Addicts</a><span face="Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif"> </span><span face="Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif"> M, 1st Wed, 3E,#7 - Anything Goes (#8)</span></li><li style="border: medium none; font-size: 16.335px; line-height: 19.404px; margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px; text-align: left;"><a href="http://wordartwednesday.blogspot.com/" style="text-decoration-line: none;">Word Art Wednesdays</a><span face="Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif" style="line-height: 19.404px;"> </span><span face="Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif" style="line-height: 19.404px;"> (#100)</span></li></ul></span></div><div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div><div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit;">Hope you enjoyed my creations. That was such a great tutorial. <a href="https://artandsoulcreations.blogspot.com/2023/10/happy-birthday.html" target="_blank"><b>Click here</b></a> to access yesterday's post. </p><p>The nice thing was, Carol, our instructor, gave us enough DP/CS to make another triangle pocket card, and with the cutaway pieces I was able to make an <u><i>additional</i></u> two cards. So from a 12X12 sheet of DP, I was able to make 4 cards. Not sure how to make a Triangle Pocket Card?? Well <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQjpe3EM-NY" target="_blank"><b>click here</b></a> and visit this video for a great instruction presentation. </p><p style="text-align: center;">Here is Pocket Card #2</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSnqk0FDPaAdVl1Gi-piytB7A-vGr0L6xBFH1ayTVnQpLxjhUuicNao7tMcMOLXdoOilflowqBDShfh_N0vdpX212elhrJAMeDxup5TTx67ZB1VGgX1kBdcgx8xSn4AZnFLta5JdfQF-CdueT4VMRDavB5J69Xv7ywWDApROmaGiuePD4ff3_82213xXk/s500/2023-10-12%2013.42.40.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="358" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSnqk0FDPaAdVl1Gi-piytB7A-vGr0L6xBFH1ayTVnQpLxjhUuicNao7tMcMOLXdoOilflowqBDShfh_N0vdpX212elhrJAMeDxup5TTx67ZB1VGgX1kBdcgx8xSn4AZnFLta5JdfQF-CdueT4VMRDavB5J69Xv7ywWDApROmaGiuePD4ff3_82213xXk/s320/2023-10-12%2013.42.40.jpg" width="229" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Please notice this triangle pocket card is adhered to the front of a 5X7 card. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Also I decided to make the pull out piece into a gift card holder</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7RWV5Im44EWANpaSfyIbaDcj_Ldc07KCmkWTFDwzx17yLZGWE8TXRQl6RPfhRhOt6ZJBnTO9fdidikHUlcNlczUn0GhImUnN2zZcOAUmfhAvmdFXAJ1li7gMFUvH8TtOmQgQgQZHqXz0h-hrpDtBUjCa8DKolFpgvsUmFZPSr79_fCtslokH0Ozr81uY/s599/2023-10-12%2013.41.53.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="599" height="267" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7RWV5Im44EWANpaSfyIbaDcj_Ldc07KCmkWTFDwzx17yLZGWE8TXRQl6RPfhRhOt6ZJBnTO9fdidikHUlcNlczUn0GhImUnN2zZcOAUmfhAvmdFXAJ1li7gMFUvH8TtOmQgQgQZHqXz0h-hrpDtBUjCa8DKolFpgvsUmFZPSr79_fCtslokH0Ozr81uY/s320/2023-10-12%2013.41.53.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">(You could add a sentiment to the top portion of the pull out piece.) </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">On the pullout piece, please notice that I added a punched border piece to the bottom. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">That makes it an easy spot to slide a gift card into.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This leaves plenty of room on the inside of the card to write a personal message. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">OK, so now I had those 4 triangle shaped pieces left over, perfect to make made the 2 additional cards below. For the September meeting the theme was to use vellum on our project.</p><p>Well I used vellum paper to make the flowers and the holly leaves and the holly swirl</p><p>And I also decided to make a bag topper and use the "fractured" design. </p><p>Well as I am sitting here writing this I see that I did not take a pic of the bag topper actually on a gift bag. But I did take a pic of the topper itself. </p><p>So here is the topper</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiniJrrcW-PIo_ErYdWwkmcifFxY4Y2Zth18aJKTaMqx-dTk6opDbnsHOqMY0SQAaCoq6vmlIs9ojvNUmAcVXtm0BSO6P2KaMh0PKduIqBivZe1AMnqJHRdVZI8aVE_bN4Q9dVkZS8ErCDQzowNHpB8IlYv8KzLxmAcFO2acX5wUWI8z2bldNs02Yw9qVM/s1780/2023-09-11%2013.18.56b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1440" data-original-width="1780" height="259" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiniJrrcW-PIo_ErYdWwkmcifFxY4Y2Zth18aJKTaMqx-dTk6opDbnsHOqMY0SQAaCoq6vmlIs9ojvNUmAcVXtm0BSO6P2KaMh0PKduIqBivZe1AMnqJHRdVZI8aVE_bN4Q9dVkZS8ErCDQzowNHpB8IlYv8KzLxmAcFO2acX5wUWI8z2bldNs02Yw9qVM/s320/2023-09-11%2013.18.56b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p>This slides down on the bag handle and it will dress up a plain gift bag. </p><p>Since I do not have a pic with this adorning the bag, I went and made another bag topper similar but not identical.</p><p>The scalloped oval is a die cut of an oval bag topper. I wanted a rectangle so I used the oval for the height and width. The rectangle is appox. 7.5"X10"</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="text-align: left;"> </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCpYcHro1Mk3WodHy2AYesluLVm0dA4W7HWiPzlZWFo-JPud0P5eixy1Y8JqCnLf23O3DGyxb5WEk5tJW4O1zegIM56DhAuyR0KjxwBd5O4Z9MF2neKrfyw-W66DKXLTezoGNqnKlX6uADd44ymJIYOH8wqDwvTSBH2AeEiENlT1nmP4sMpOzb4Pj-3mw/s2405/2023-09-14%2018.44.45a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2405" data-original-width="1832" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCpYcHro1Mk3WodHy2AYesluLVm0dA4W7HWiPzlZWFo-JPud0P5eixy1Y8JqCnLf23O3DGyxb5WEk5tJW4O1zegIM56DhAuyR0KjxwBd5O4Z9MF2neKrfyw-W66DKXLTezoGNqnKlX6uADd44ymJIYOH8wqDwvTSBH2AeEiENlT1nmP4sMpOzb4Pj-3mw/s320/2023-09-14%2018.44.45a.jpg" width="244" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p>Where those 2 small circles are on the white bag topper, I marked those spots on my rectangle. I then folded at that spot. The topper folds all the way across where those small circles are. I cut between the 2 tiny circles which gives this the capability of sliding the piece over the handle and it will hang down the bag front. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkj7t0cDjuUR4CnFyLeAzKd_7enkIxGvlwCicE_uhobZWTaXpBpmt7cYBG3UM6ktGvcNQ5IVR9EaL778y1XGnCL3bTjlJEhABNS-xoIMYOLshH1krJ3JQW2WEdrNcG5aNNFpu6QdCQEEmChhlHA4c4Mfyjhh0noARueBy5S8nm_33SZEXlucgog1x0qZM/s2374/2023-09-14%2018.47.22a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2374" data-original-width="1868" height="452" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkj7t0cDjuUR4CnFyLeAzKd_7enkIxGvlwCicE_uhobZWTaXpBpmt7cYBG3UM6ktGvcNQ5IVR9EaL778y1XGnCL3bTjlJEhABNS-xoIMYOLshH1krJ3JQW2WEdrNcG5aNNFpu6QdCQEEmChhlHA4c4Mfyjhh0noARueBy5S8nm_33SZEXlucgog1x0qZM/w356-h452/2023-09-14%2018.47.22a.jpg" width="356" /></a></div><br /><p>I added DP layers and a square and then used stamped holly swirls and poinsettias (stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations)</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg--n3GISXYwTReFedKtml3E6E83VNBFDjhUvJ0qlWVO7YmHb_YmXllAkezP25RUKBhmZkF5n_8LCuLTMVpjCz9091rKdcM8JLiar3vhZtBFsz2O45NhxZyewo4gvGMboXLhG8KPk3REm5ylE6wWfAv4th3tqnJs1YBXUJKt9g7F7HqGRf8wfKDCqVayzY/s2241/2023-09-14%2021.53.53a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2241" data-original-width="1734" height="425" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg--n3GISXYwTReFedKtml3E6E83VNBFDjhUvJ0qlWVO7YmHb_YmXllAkezP25RUKBhmZkF5n_8LCuLTMVpjCz9091rKdcM8JLiar3vhZtBFsz2O45NhxZyewo4gvGMboXLhG8KPk3REm5ylE6wWfAv4th3tqnJs1YBXUJKt9g7F7HqGRf8wfKDCqVayzY/w329-h425/2023-09-14%2021.53.53a.jpg" width="329" /></a></div><br /><p>I added the 1/4" strips to the square to make the fractured look and then finished with those holly swirls and poinsettias</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg67p0g5ihiz-t3tx1dwgeQ2fvy_5_P0Nsvsdmit7Nt80m3pEExBLq2o5L_mOnkD3wSwiymyL-KYeuG23-8gvJd-8IyvvaACvvI1tTDuvcU6XUQ_Py-7oYgW6QVU9Gc-1WazHHi3CuG0Ym_pvMBaujMatoeNDo2Fvr-TRxUOAXLXvvJZIV-pPo1zF8_YcI/s2777/2023-09-14%2021.54.34a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2777" data-original-width="1790" height="478" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg67p0g5ihiz-t3tx1dwgeQ2fvy_5_P0Nsvsdmit7Nt80m3pEExBLq2o5L_mOnkD3wSwiymyL-KYeuG23-8gvJd-8IyvvaACvvI1tTDuvcU6XUQ_Py-7oYgW6QVU9Gc-1WazHHi3CuG0Ym_pvMBaujMatoeNDo2Fvr-TRxUOAXLXvvJZIV-pPo1zF8_YcI/w308-h478/2023-09-14%2021.54.34a.jpg" width="308" /></a></div><br /><p>And you now have a decorated gift bag. Autumn begins later this month and you know what that means - Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas aren't far behind.</span></p><p style="background-color: white; color: #333333;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Well a new challenge has begun over at the <a href="https://merrylittlechristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/" style="color: #336699; text-decoration-line: none;" target="_blank"><b>Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog</b></a>. The challenge runs September 1 thru October15. Plenty of time for you to make a Christmas project and get it submitted it to the challenge. <span>The Merry Little Christmas Challenge is an all-crafts Christmas challenge blog and welcomes any and all kinds of handmade Christmas creations all year long. </span></span></p><p style="background-color: white; color: #333333;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">I love Christmas and making cards for that season is really a joy, especially if you are not in a rush. So, the more Christmas cards I make now, the fewer I will need to make at Christmastime. (LOL) </span></p><p style="background-color: white; color: #333333;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">I thought I'd share a card that I presented in a class I taught at Stampaway this year. I used circles and ovals in the class and today I'm sharing a card I have made using ovals. Since oval shapes are not symmetrical you can cut an oval longways thru the center or across the center shortways. </span></p><p style="background-color: white; color: #333333;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">If you use one small, one medium and one large oval shapes, use 3 different colors cutting them in half and placing them in a specific order you will get 2 very interesting shape designs. I am showing the two cards I made using 1 set of ovals. (6 ovals total)</span></p><p style="background-color: white; color: #333333;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Both of these cards have used the ovals cut longways </span></p><p style="background-color: white; color: #333333; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Card #1</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-1UXtQmcLZiMMkr8DEYokLiZN9YZS137VEwiUco84E7ngl7PUpUHcl49Hplt7uJ6sUPMBxbFJrLutq1PPtRSkAZP2Wru5SE8uw1ocKlwBoRK0sKbdGS0KHwqW365P2pgYXVN-eRj-QGV9o2m_JFHZI1uzwjwbG-Q8ONvzihA0KxJcpXJr5qGv9VwvwGM/s2283/2023-Sept%20MLC.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2283" data-original-width="1857" height="380" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-1UXtQmcLZiMMkr8DEYokLiZN9YZS137VEwiUco84E7ngl7PUpUHcl49Hplt7uJ6sUPMBxbFJrLutq1PPtRSkAZP2Wru5SE8uw1ocKlwBoRK0sKbdGS0KHwqW365P2pgYXVN-eRj-QGV9o2m_JFHZI1uzwjwbG-Q8ONvzihA0KxJcpXJr5qGv9VwvwGM/w309-h380/2023-Sept%20MLC.jpg" width="309" /></a></div><br /><p style="background-color: white; color: #333333;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Here is the other card using the left over oval halves. By placing the oval halves differently you will get a different look. The placement of ovals in card one looks more like an oval shape, but the ovals in card 2 look more elongated. </span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiOmji7bdR9JXtvru-7pED-UVX40lqvawoJJP_dnzkUyJ6RzSP9jlBfhz-kNtJUGLRu97F7OZ69TcjJW9z0YBs3I-0V1phsxbL78pg49sq9SsnvGLFgpPAC5ryqtXd6cN1TCFm0GdwvYUNbxVstzMZH1RE9g2g_RmsZBDCA2H2KXVCJJB1RZ-af93gRBg/s494/2023-08-11%2023.22.20a.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="478" data-original-width="494" height="349" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiOmji7bdR9JXtvru-7pED-UVX40lqvawoJJP_dnzkUyJ6RzSP9jlBfhz-kNtJUGLRu97F7OZ69TcjJW9z0YBs3I-0V1phsxbL78pg49sq9SsnvGLFgpPAC5ryqtXd6cN1TCFm0GdwvYUNbxVstzMZH1RE9g2g_RmsZBDCA2H2KXVCJJB1RZ-af93gRBg/w360-h349/2023-08-11%2023.22.20a.jpg" width="360" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Card #2 lines up the gold pieces giving that elongated look.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Since the ovals are cut in half, a strip is layered over the where the oval halves meet, to give a finished look. And that is a perfect place for a sentiment. </span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">I used green pine sprigs and gold leaves to give these cards a Christmas feel. </span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">These cards are perfect for quick Christmas cards and the great thing is that you will get 2 cards with somewhat different looks from the 1 set of ovals that are cut in half.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Products I used:</span></div><div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>Stamps used</b> -Woodware - Christmas Strips - Sentiment</span></div><div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>CS used </b>- Red, Gold, Black, Green CS, DP</span></div><div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>Ink used </b>- VersaFine - Nocturne</span></div><div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>Misc used </b>-MS Punch - Branch 2</span></div><div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>Dies used </b>- Pine Sprigs; Ovals (3 graduated sizes)</span></div><div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div><div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; text-align: left;"><span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit;">Hope you enjoyed my creation. We've just started a new month. And that means there's a new <a href="https://birthstonechallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"><b>Birthstone Challenges</b></a> starting today, (September 1). </span>The challenge runs September 1 thru October 15.</p><p><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">The Birthstone Challenge is a color challenge blog, welcoming all types of handmade projects such as cards, scrapbook layouts, ATCs, mixed media, altered items, 3-D projects, etc. using the featured birthstone colors. </span></p><p style="background-color: white; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Here are the colors for the September/October challenge</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdtZl7uNOJeSjkwib4_rWMOzayJd7IoGgOgtknlBsYER_0Sa80lYPBuCB1QN43DKLGDCOd-KgfXTIhnb8TB-jjDY3bAdEvLfy2pwY2X6HQCmwPvXXhfW0pVwF2y5wChe50iKj1z_PGQrTClL0FzhAA4NCKJ98Zqn_8cy8XIgMoLrlyPjvU3NhXL9biZeA/s400/Sep-Oct.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="97" data-original-width="400" height="94" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdtZl7uNOJeSjkwib4_rWMOzayJd7IoGgOgtknlBsYER_0Sa80lYPBuCB1QN43DKLGDCOd-KgfXTIhnb8TB-jjDY3bAdEvLfy2pwY2X6HQCmwPvXXhfW0pVwF2y5wChe50iKj1z_PGQrTClL0FzhAA4NCKJ98Zqn_8cy8XIgMoLrlyPjvU3NhXL9biZeA/w386-h94/Sep-Oct.jpg" width="386" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit; text-align: left;">For my project I decided to use the Sapphire color and I thought my card would be perfect to send to someone for any reason. Well this card has sat on my work spot for a l-o-n-g time because I felt it needed more. I am sorry for not taking a pic before I added the changes . I just couldn't come up with the better look, til now. Well I finally decided to make some changes to give it more umph. LOL</p><p>Here is the card now. This pretty much looks like it did before the changes(additions) to the card. Those changes/additions that I made were applied to the card after it is opened, not the card front.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiL2crttcMurUrgmIziGybB0gsklyG2O7zyFfsf0GVMlKPlI-kOfsGTCHRM76xs18S39FhuD_oXoKziZQ0inUI2U63SByNTyeOKYYX2bCpwszRCzSBmlWKJiDh2d7-2pYdkNv_3BgpuLF_3YHgQ9ryGuAVQeQfOCafJE2erWbbDHiQ3Kz3VftrLKgMt-gQ/s500/2023-08-27%2016.31.04a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="385" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiL2crttcMurUrgmIziGybB0gsklyG2O7zyFfsf0GVMlKPlI-kOfsGTCHRM76xs18S39FhuD_oXoKziZQ0inUI2U63SByNTyeOKYYX2bCpwszRCzSBmlWKJiDh2d7-2pYdkNv_3BgpuLF_3YHgQ9ryGuAVQeQfOCafJE2erWbbDHiQ3Kz3VftrLKgMt-gQ/s320/2023-08-27%2016.31.04a.jpg" width="246" /></a></div><br /><p>When you open the card this is what you see.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZRQTCXzsaMCSLrdnAmeY0eNCU480kb_YQmBWCechUai0Nlh83WdjpiyMA4TTuhiWmgl7eX9Z47IlClHlxvn6VWg2qNcLLAmMyYrzJx3sK7LevNEhY8WVahvRx_9mT0HGgsdT6TW84e24KBAA6_lkQKLI9h0NBwpdF7G2O2UTf4Lo_dIo1Vf-csSRr_RM/s325/2023-08-27%2016.31.35a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="324" data-original-width="325" height="319" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZRQTCXzsaMCSLrdnAmeY0eNCU480kb_YQmBWCechUai0Nlh83WdjpiyMA4TTuhiWmgl7eX9Z47IlClHlxvn6VWg2qNcLLAmMyYrzJx3sK7LevNEhY8WVahvRx_9mT0HGgsdT6TW84e24KBAA6_lkQKLI9h0NBwpdF7G2O2UTf4Lo_dIo1Vf-csSRr_RM/s320/2023-08-27%2016.31.35a.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="text-align: left;">Originally when the card is opened, the triangle (with the HB sentiment on it) was just the pretty dark DP. And that triangle on the base of the card was not there. It was just that floral DP. </span></div><br /><p>Here is a closer view of the card opened</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiERbR4y-5OgSMT63ox77diEof-j-3JnPcwL_ZKAmTN94sh468iZZTs1f_qGiaTB6988Zbyz918R1ZbDRQkkod3nMDPSwl00F6WvikCeid-rcWtovM5mGr2yBXDxzoYKUJjxLpsYah0SRY7h1ibYHNYRSPUzclVUO7-9XBr0q4xN2wcWIWNYhXNE2QbpK8/s500/2023-08-27%2016.31.41a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="385" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiERbR4y-5OgSMT63ox77diEof-j-3JnPcwL_ZKAmTN94sh468iZZTs1f_qGiaTB6988Zbyz918R1ZbDRQkkod3nMDPSwl00F6WvikCeid-rcWtovM5mGr2yBXDxzoYKUJjxLpsYah0SRY7h1ibYHNYRSPUzclVUO7-9XBr0q4xN2wcWIWNYhXNE2QbpK8/s320/2023-08-27%2016.31.41a.jpg" width="246" /></a></div><br /><p>So I added a partial oval to the small triangle. I decided it was a perfect spot for that the Happy Birthday sentiment. And as the card was open I thought that big space (where the larger triangle is now) was just a wasted spot. I know there is plenty of room on card back, but that spot was begging for something. </p><p>So I added a sentiment to another larger triangle. Added a few layers and borders and attached it to the inside card back. So as the card is delivered the insides hold a wonderful surprise.</p><p>Hope you enjoy my card today.</p><p>Have a great rest of your Sunday. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><img border="0" data-original-height="51" data-original-width="166" height="51" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxrdTPU3x5sFocwFrd0yFKh3H52_96DkCG7WMkOYC1Pl7C3W-QNev05nPFbwWLp5cO_TXyiYA5RDbn1MbpviqaslJKrueGQwwu66oRYf07XchDC8dEksmO14iQPbwe-sPgMpBeq3xJNIHBCkEi4c7VgRuVOUVRayGLGHAHwHZTTwoQ4zKShn_3jDeMiYU/w166-h51/My%20Signature.png" width="166" /></div>Barbara Bruderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12767793286467293392noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8114928556907082453.post-37909986193163466312023-07-01T06:02:00.018-04:002023-07-03T01:45:26.123-04:00Happy Birthday<p><span style="font-family: inherit;">WOW, can you believe it!! We've just started a new month. And that means there's a new Birthstone challenge starting today, (July 1). </span>The challenge runs July 1 thru August 15.</p><p><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">The Birthstone Challenge is a color challenge blog welcoming all types of handmade projects such as cards, scrapbook layouts, ATCs, mixed media, altered items, 3-D projects, etc. using the featured birthstone colors. </span></span></p><p style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">There are two birthstone colors featured in each challenge and those colors must be the main colors seen in the gallery. The challenge runs July 1 thru August 15. Plenty of time for you to make a Christmas project and get it submitted it to the challenge. <span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">The Merry Little Christmas Challenge is an all-crafts Christmas challenge blog and welcomes any and all kinds of handmade Christmas creations all year long. </span></span></p><p>I love Christmas and making cards for that season is really a joy, especially if you are not in a rush. So, the more Christmas cards I make now, the fewer I will need to make at Christmastime. (LOL) </p><p>I perused all my Christmas stamps and this pretty bird caught my eye. Its from an old set from a company that is sadly no longer around, My Sentiments Exactly (MSE). </p><p>I added a gold frame but it looked kind of plain to me, so I added embossed swirls to give more interest.</p><p>To carry that Christmas theme onto the frame I added holly and some flowers, (poinsettias of course. LOL)</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTTtX79brtw5tKzc8ptp1REi9aH1MHRfOL6IIv8_Rgt0SVRLczN0tZkJSHKNk4DhmPSm_lzScXn9zS9i7IVFVqFkJi8uUas0Y5wCvUIrj-UTsCpko_2NClEld3rhQs77DBJGz4D8pkhi2h-IjNPMf5qsp8JWaGPejm2cTTr0cMTe-zrEb_T6jxAFA7/s502/2023%20July%20MLC.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="502" height="395" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTTtX79brtw5tKzc8ptp1REi9aH1MHRfOL6IIv8_Rgt0SVRLczN0tZkJSHKNk4DhmPSm_lzScXn9zS9i7IVFVqFkJi8uUas0Y5wCvUIrj-UTsCpko_2NClEld3rhQs77DBJGz4D8pkhi2h-IjNPMf5qsp8JWaGPejm2cTTr0cMTe-zrEb_T6jxAFA7/w396-h395/2023%20July%20MLC.jpg" width="396" /></a></div><br /><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div style="text-align: left;">I colored the bird with Inktense pencils and water to soften the colors and used Straedler Triplus Fineliners to add accents to the colors. This card is a real looker IMHO</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1YM9_OokAGYKtjn4HX4kvzlDvgILnW4OabM82NXRjC8_R8fdlCMrCfUIYwXvFxMGWRoWLG34kLWHmWGAwuagwBeksPppQIcvq2-GDeDU62-9JLkREpdKZKoycjRUZzBiW4LtOVOuv3eoSAGk4-FbCOfdRzxrGAncNnjqt4Kero7JTyX1YSPkZ7I4I/s500/2023%20LTS%20JulyA.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="319" height="442" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1YM9_OokAGYKtjn4HX4kvzlDvgILnW4OabM82NXRjC8_R8fdlCMrCfUIYwXvFxMGWRoWLG34kLWHmWGAwuagwBeksPppQIcvq2-GDeDU62-9JLkREpdKZKoycjRUZzBiW4LtOVOuv3eoSAGk4-FbCOfdRzxrGAncNnjqt4Kero7JTyX1YSPkZ7I4I/w282-h442/2023%20LTS%20JulyA.jpg" width="282" /></a></div><br /><p>I stamped the sentiment on white CS circular die cut piece and adhered it directly under the circle on the front on the card. </p><p><span face="Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-size: 15.84px;">Here is what I used to make my card:</span></p><p></p><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><span face="Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-size: 15.84px;">Sentiment - Hero Arts Things We Love</span></li><li><span face="Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-size: 15.84px;">White CS</span></li><li><span face="Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-size: 15.84px;">Dark Green CS</span></li><li><span face="Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-size: 15.84px;">Gold CS</span></li><li><span face="Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-size: 15.84px;">Memento Ink - Northern Pine</span></li><li><span face="Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-size: 15.84px;">Flowers & Leaves - Heartfelt Creations Stamps and Dies - Small Wild Rose ; Leafy Accents</span></li></ul><div><span face="Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif" style="color: #333333;"><span style="font-size: 15.84px;">I am submitting my card in the following challenges:</span></span></div><div><span face="Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif"><span style="color: red; font-family: inherit;"><ul style="line-height: 1.4; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0.5em 0px; padding: 0px 2.5em;"><li style="border: none; margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px;"><a href="http://lilpatchofcraftyfriends.blogspot.com/" style="text-decoration-line: none;" target="_blank"><b>Lil Patch of Crafty Friends</b></a> <b>- #209 -</b><b> Anything Goes </b> (#27)</li><li style="border: none; margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px;"><a href="http://sirstampalotchallenge.blogspot.com/" style="text-decoration-line: none;" target="_blank"><b>Stamping Sensations</b></a> <b> July -</b> <b>Summer Flowers + option: Anything Goes (#15)</b></li><li style="border: none; margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px;"><a href="http://corrosivechallengesbyjanet.blogspot.com/" style="text-decoration-line: none;" target="_blank"><b>The Corrosive Challenges</b></a> <b>- July</b><b> - </b><span style="font-weight: bold;">Anything Goes</span><span style="font-weight: bold;"> (#14)</span></li><li style="border: none; margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px;"><a href="https://www.welovestamping.co.uk/"><b>We Love Stamping</b></a> <b>- July -</b> <b>Fabulous Florals + option: Anything Goes (#13)</b></li></ul></span></span></div><div><span face="Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif" style="color: #333333;"><span style="font-size: 15.84px;">Well I hope you enjoyed this card. </span></span><span face="Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-size: 15.84px;">I would love to see one of <i>your</i> cards in the challenge. I know I might be rushing the season, but the more Christmas cards I finish now, the fewer I need to make later on. LOL</p><p>This is a card I made for the monthly club meeting that I host here in my home.</p><p>The card theme for June was to use plaid. And plaid always make me think of Christmas. So that's where I went with this card.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsrEliThD9abP-rKh6eeW-8rEib7QtjSI6xx38UyrbxoWVFaFskj9YoJbhmiQjfVZ89OWC_5m_dXcEPo_obDYl_dMA_fWeilISWgKCpfZ95by5-12FIhBIG0yEw9xfCfB9CcFENw3LdlCAPEErQ3gvNU6ww9C6Lq4cCLrP4c1endF2VvLjyL_vcRxn/s500/2023-06-10%2022.39.24aa.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="417" height="473" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsrEliThD9abP-rKh6eeW-8rEib7QtjSI6xx38UyrbxoWVFaFskj9YoJbhmiQjfVZ89OWC_5m_dXcEPo_obDYl_dMA_fWeilISWgKCpfZ95by5-12FIhBIG0yEw9xfCfB9CcFENw3LdlCAPEErQ3gvNU6ww9C6Lq4cCLrP4c1endF2VvLjyL_vcRxn/w395-h473/2023-06-10%2022.39.24aa.jpg" width="395" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">I started out with a white 6X6 card and next added a green layer. On top of that I used a plaid CS layer as the background. I decided to add a gold oval in the center of the card and use trees as the focal point. I also embossed the trees with dots and added glitter glue to add sparkle to those trees. I used strips of gold CS to add a border to the top and the bottom areas of the card, I had a sentiment that fit well with the card and used gold embossing powder to continue with the gold in the card.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">These are the items I used on the card:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><ul><li>CS - White, plaid, gold, green, red </li><li>Dies - Oval, Trees (Spellbinders)</li><li>Ink - VersaMark</li><li>Misc - Gold EP</li><li>Stamp Sentiment - Inkadinkado Happy Holidays (Really old set)</li></ul><div>Another Christmas card done, and many more to do LOL</div><div><br /></div><div>I am submitting this card to the following challenges:</div><div><br /></div><div><ul style="line-height: 1.4; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0.5em 0px; padding: 0px 2.5em; text-align: start;"><li style="border: none; margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px;"><b><span style="color: #cc0000; font-family: inherit;"><a href="http://thehollyandivychristmaschallenge.blogspot.ca/" style="text-decoration-line: none;">The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge</a> -<i> </i>- #142 - Anything Christmas Goes (#22)</span></b></li><li style="border: none; margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px;"><b><span style="color: #cc0000; font-family: inherit;"><span face=""><a href="http://12monthsofchristmaslinkup.blogspot.ca/" style="text-decoration-line: none;">The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up</a> </span>#101 - Anything Christmas with option: Inspired By a Christmas Song (#40)</span></b></li><li style="border: none; margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px;"><b><span style="color: #cc0000; font-family: inherit;"><a href="https://peaceonearthchristmas.blogspot.com/">Peace on Earth</a> - #42- Anything Christmas Goes + Inspiration Board (#3)</span></b></li><li style="border: none; margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px;"><b><span style="color: #cc0000; font-family: inherit;"><a href="https://abcchristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/" style="text-decoration-line: none;">ABC Christmas</a> - L for Layer and M for Mice (#24)</span></b></li><li style="border: medium none; line-height: 19.404px; margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px; text-align: left;"><span style="background-color: white;"><b><span style="color: #cc0000; font-family: inherit;"><a href="https://christmas-craft-creations.blogspot.com/" style="text-decoration-line: none;">Christmas Craft Creations</a> - Heat Embossing (#4) <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiV9hB947wOHl-ZApbeh9ywDSxh6aBC6aJyfWsjyXpaxWdCQ9IytZxRrzzYLGHSyu2SAkIs51c5KFVGlqK0Io7ic_WaDKa1MR6N1SdRLH0_hjcs67aqaAytTOCrNVLhbKPqUdUk3iwdl5sN1ucDb3AQgUi8D8ubonae9ilmsB1DyasjsWCiUlVQbghTshQ" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="143" data-original-width="200" height="111" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiV9hB947wOHl-ZApbeh9ywDSxh6aBC6aJyfWsjyXpaxWdCQ9IytZxRrzzYLGHSyu2SAkIs51c5KFVGlqK0Io7ic_WaDKa1MR6N1SdRLH0_hjcs67aqaAytTOCrNVLhbKPqUdUk3iwdl5sN1ucDb3AQgUi8D8ubonae9ilmsB1DyasjsWCiUlVQbghTshQ=w155-h111" width="155" /></a></div><br /></span></b></span></li></ul></div><div>Thanks for stopping in today. This card was for the challenge theme of using some stickers I handed out at the May meeting.</p><p>These stickers are so cute IMHO. I get them at the Dollar Tree and they are in the craft section. They are 3D and come pre-colored and you get 5-6 in each pack. I am hooked on them. The leaves you see on the card are in a leaf set also at the Dollar Tree. These stickers really assist you in making a card in quick fashion.(Yes, these are stickers, however I attach them to some CS and trim the CS away and attach to my card with hot glue. I just don't think the adhesive on the backs of the stickers is strong enough.)</p><p>I decided to use some small square frames and the solid squares that pop out of the frames when I make my die cuts. I embossed the solid squares with dots for added interest. I also added a border all the way around the card using a gold border sticker. This card is a 5X7 size </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj6WunLdt4W1UmkPrHLOoIRZkXWlFokD4PyDBKfNcNsjW0XwfGJefYCCBiv-GHTpmmf4A6whXSb4LKEk9kTU7mLn40p57WZAbJ1JEosxk-jBBlj7U0pHAsR360n1cG3B_GGGwr_qEWobnWrO9FvKHHjWHI_8Gnkds3KyzidL4nIapUioqcacc8wBOn/s500/2023-06-12%2017.24.09aa.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="338" height="529" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj6WunLdt4W1UmkPrHLOoIRZkXWlFokD4PyDBKfNcNsjW0XwfGJefYCCBiv-GHTpmmf4A6whXSb4LKEk9kTU7mLn40p57WZAbJ1JEosxk-jBBlj7U0pHAsR360n1cG3B_GGGwr_qEWobnWrO9FvKHHjWHI_8Gnkds3KyzidL4nIapUioqcacc8wBOn/w357-h529/2023-06-12%2017.24.09aa.jpg" width="357" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">Well this card came together very quickly. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">Products I used on this card:</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><ul><li><span style="text-align: left;">White CS, Purple CS</span></li><li><span style="text-align: left;">Flowers nd leaves stickers from Dollar Tree</span></li><li><span style="text-align: left;">Square Dies</span></li><li><span style="text-align: left;">Border Stickers</span></li><li><span style="text-align: left;">Memento Elderberry Ink</span></li><li><span style="text-align: left;">Stamp Hello (Old)</span></li></ul><div style="text-align: left;">I am submitting my card in the following challenges:</div><div style="text-align: left;"><ul style="line-height: 1.4; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0.5em 0px; padding: 0px 2.5em;"><li style="border: none; margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px;"><b><span style="color: #cc0000; font-family: inherit;"><a href="http://aperfecttimetocraft.blogspot.ca/" style="text-decoration-line: none;">A Perfect Time To Craft</a> Always Anything Goes (#205)</span></b></li><li style="border: none; margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px;"><span face=""><b><span style="color: #cc0000; font-family: inherit;"><a href="https://alessandrasangels.blogspot.com/" style="text-decoration-line: none;">Ally's Angels</a> Always Anything Goes (#41)</span></b></span></li><li style="border: none; margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px;"><b><span style="color: #cc0000; font-family: inherit;"><a href="https://dianamlarson.blogspot.com/" style="text-decoration-line: none;">DL.Art Linky Challenge</a> Always Anything Goes (#52)</span></b></li><li style="border: none; margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px;"><span face=""><b><span style="color: #cc0000; font-family: inherit;"><a href="https://girlzcreativecrafts.blogspot.com/" style="text-decoration-line: none;">Girlz Creative Crafts</a> #38 - Flowers (#4)</span></b></span></li><li style="border: none; margin: 0px 0px 0.25em; padding: 0px;"><span face=""><b><span style="color: #cc0000; font-family: inherit;"><a href="http://letscreatechallenges.blogspot.co.uk/" style="text-decoration-line: none;">Let's Craft & Create Challenge</a> #196 - Anything Goes + Hip To Be Square (#43)</span></b></span></li></ul></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Hope this card will give you some ideas for a future card.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Thanks for stopping by today.
