Friends are your umbrella

Hi Everyone

Whoa!!!!! It's February 2 and today is Groundhog day. Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow. So you know what that means, 6 more weeks of winter. So far the winter here hasn't been too bad. Lets hope the next 6 weeks are as mild as the last.In the meantime..................

The challenge this week over at Art Impressions, is an Easel card. I really love doing these types of cards. They are fun and they can be interesting to figure out how to display and to photograph.
This card was no exception. I got started on this card and I decided how I was going to fashion the easel then I decided on the cloudy background. Next, I decided I wanted the umbrella to be a 3-D umbrella, so I took care of that.

Here is the card closed

And the card is sitting opened

Here are 2 more shots that will give you a better look at the umbrella's dimension.

Hope you've enjoyed  this card. Go ahead and try an easel card, they are easy to do and look so cool sitting open.

Supplies used:
Colored Pencils
Gamsol
Cloud stencil
Inks used - Distress Ink-Pumice Stone, India Ink - Black
Dimensional Foam

Thanks for stopping in today, see you soon.
