Sparkle N Sprinkle Challenge

Hi Everyone,
Today is April 1st, (no foolin') LOL and I wanted to share with you a card I made using the freebie digi being given away over at the Sparkle N Sprinkle Creative Challenges blog this month. To be eligible for the free digi, just submit  a design over at the challenge blog and make sure to use one of the Sparkle N Sprinkle stamps or a digi image that you purchased. This month's digi image really ties in perfectly with Mothers Day. That special day will be here before we know it.

My mom has been gone for 17 years. I still miss her immensely. She was gone right before I started stamping. She loved crafts and would have loved stamping and making cards.

Besides using the image for a Mother's Day card this image will make a great card for a friend who is a mother.I am sure you can come up with other opportunities to use this image. How about a scrapbook layout!!

I used a lot of glitter on this card. We can never use too much glitter, can we. LOL  The glitter color is Meteor Blue and really is a great match to the CS color I used.

I used a Martha Stewart punch on the sides of the card front and then covered the design with glitter. I cut the image out using a Sizzix oval and used the next largest oval for the background oval. I covered the edges of that larger oval with that same fabulous glitter. Next, I added the ribbon and the bow. The last thing I did was to make some flowers and I used them as a border at the bottom of the card front.

Hope this inspires you to make a card for someone you love.

Products used on this card:
Sparkle N Sprinkle Glitter - Meteor Blue - G1042
April free digi from Sparkle N Sprinkle Creative Challenges
Martha Stewart  punch around the page punch - Double Arches
Sizzix Oval Framelets - 657563
Die-namics Rolled Mum die

  4. OK, Barbara, now I NEED to make one of those cards with the border punch on both sides. THIS IS GORGEOUS! Love the colors, and how you looped the bow through the punched areas. The flowers are so pretty at the bottom, done in the DPs - a beautiful card! thanks for the inspiration this evening.
