Good Luck

Hello Everyone,

Hey, thanks for stopping in today.

Since its the first Tuesday of the month,
it's time for my Inspiration Tuesday project
 over at Craft-Dee BowZ

And since March is here and we (some) will be celebrating St. Patty's Day soon,
I decided to make shamrocks for the front of my card
and what better sentiment  than the Good Luck sentiment I used

I used heart punches to make the shamrocks,
even on the tiny 3 leaf shamrock

Not much stamping on this card - just the sentiment
Let me share my card with you.

If you like shamrocks and you've never tried using hearts to make 'em
you should give it a try!!!
I really like the 3-D effect you get making the shamrocks this way.

Let me share with you this quick and easy way to make shamrocks.
I used punches but you can also use dies

Step #1
I punched 2 hearts, one for the base of the shamrock (I used DP) and the other was a dark green CS These punched pieces are both the same size. For the small shamrock, I used 2 really small punches, the larger of the 2 is the base and the smaller is the top.

Step #2

The heart piece you will be using for the top, fold it in half , (Mine is the dark green CS). Leave the bottom heart flat - no fold.

Step #3

Add a touch of liquid glue down that center fold line

Step #4

Attach that top heart down the center of the bottom heart, It will be attached only on the glued fold line.

Step #5

For the larger shamrock, I used 4 hearts (but you can use 3)

Step #6 (for a 4 leaf shamrock)

When using 4 hearts, I overlapped the bases a little and added a stem. Overlapping will allow you some room at the bottom of the hearts to add that stem.

Stem #6 (for a 3 leaf shamrock)

For a 3 leaf shamrock the bottom heart really doesn't need to overlap on any of the other bottom hearts. Add a stem and you are done.

If you are using a really small punch, the same process will hold true.

Easy peasy

Lets check out The Bow

I decided to use a single loop bow.
I didn't want to over shadow those shamrocks. LOL.
As I assembled the card front,
I decided where I would place the bow,
Bottom right area.

Here is a closer view of my bow.

I used a green sheer ribbon for this bow.
Nothing fancy or over the top and it's perfect for this card.

I used my Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool.
Don't forget, the Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool is the best tool out there
that will aid you in making your bows.
The tool is small , easy to store, easy to use and so portable.
