My first card was made using stamps from set 285 - 1900 Cars
1902 Curved Dash 1337-285G
Oldies but Goodies 1354-285B
Green Nugget Glitter - G1065
Spellbinders Label 1 - S4-161
COPIC Markers - COPIC1A
Using ribbon is usually a "girlie" accent but if you add it as a woven element it becomes masculine.
The glitter is a nice accent that picks up the color of the car. Don't be afraid to add an accent of glitter to that masculine card.
My next card is a little more clean and simple.
On this card I used an embossing folder to get that background texture. Next, I used a dark brown leather-like paper. I used a corner punch from Just Imagine Crafts to add interest to the corners.
This card used stamps from Set 285 - 1900 Cars
1914 Chevy Royal Mall Roadster - 1335-285E
Classic Birthday - 1353-285B
Spellbinders Label - S4-309
Copic Markers - COPIC1A
My donation to the grand prize is: Green Nugget Glitter.
I hope you've enjoyed viewing my cards and all the designers cards as much as we did in creating them.

Tremendous cards, Barbara! I hope everyone clicks on the thumbnails of your cards to see the up close details of creating the woven ribbon and background you've made for your cards! They are beautiful yet manly!
These are great Cards, Barb! It's so hard to make cards for men. Thanks for the great ideas.
Thanks for making great cards for the blog hop, Barbara!
Your first card is s stunner. Love the ribbon weaving and glitter strips. It all works so nicely together! It's been fun seeing how the different designers can use the same stamp and come up with such completely different cards.
Ooh! The woven background looks amazing! And I love the texture on both! Wonderful job~!
LOVE that woven ribbon! I wouldn't have even thought of that. GREAT JOB on your beautiful cards!
Wow, that ribbon weaving is awesome! And the glitter with the tape is a great accent!
Love the woven ribbon and the second card is really manly! Great job.
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE that weaving in the first card Barb. And the rosette you made from paper is the perfect finishing touch. These are fantastic
Wonderful, Barbara! I love the woven ribbon on the first and the texture on the second is perfect for a guy card. Great job!
These are wonderful cards to say the least. That weaving is just fabulous. AWESOME on both the cards.
Love the textured backgrounds on all your cards Barb,,,,,,,great job.
Love the woven look on "oldies but goodies" great color choices too!
Love the textured background on the 2nd card - need to get that embossing folder for my collection!
I love how you achieved so much texture into your cards. Each one is amazingly wonderful!
Wow! Both cards are amazing!
Totally love your concept of the woven ribbon to touch that 'masculine' effect! Love the cards - fabulous!
Barb, the vintage cards are perfect and I love, love, love that woven ribbon background! I definitely have to try that on one of my cards for Father's Day. Also love the leather-look background on the other card. It really works with the car image.
your first card is so dimensional!!! everything just pops out at you and it is a beauty!!
The textures used on both your cards are stunning!!
fantastic cards, the second one is my favorite, really an eye catcher
The weaving in the first card is very eye catching and doesn't really matter if made out of ribbon. Your color choice of the ribbon is very impressive, too. The second card is near with the color of the background you used to emboss. Neat cards!
I love texture and your cards are very impressive! What a great way to incorporate ribbon without a "girlie" feel. Thanks so much for sharing!
Barbara, your cards certainly have the feel of the era and are beautifully executed. The ribbon card is WONDERFUL in every way - the different shades and textures remind me of the fabric in the seats and clothing of the day. Both cards are fantastic! Thank you for creating them to inspire the rest of us.
Texture, texture & more texture! Love it! Brenda
I especially like your second card. I love the textured look & the color scheme. The corner punch is intriguing as well.
I would never have thought to use ribbon on a guy card or to weave it into a cool background! Thanks for the inspiration!
Great idea to use weaving on the first! Love the leather on the second!
Love how you put the flowery flare behind the car on the first card. And the weaqving idea is just great!
Beautiful cards... I really admire your work on the embossing, and the mixture of materials...
The textures created from the embossing folders really gives the card depth. Nice!
The theme seems to be the 1900's cards for Father's Day and what a great idea. Like both of your cards.
Love that woven background on the first card. Would love to see a tutorial on that. The second card is also perfect for a guy, C&S!
Love both of your cards! Love the textures on the second; but I especially like all the elements in the first card .......... love the woven ribbon, the strips of glitter, and most especially I liked the way you put the stamp of the car on the top of the rosette.
Your weaving is beautiful! Great ideas.
So many inspirations in just two cards! I love the woven ribbons and the way you used a pleated medallion as a mount for the car on your first card. All the texture and the punched corners make the second card ultra masculine.
Frann
Great texture cards! Never thought to use ribbon woven on a mans card. Really looks cool.
Great cards Barbara - really neat backgrounds on BOTH! And love the car on the medallion on the first card - great touch! Something different on each - great job!
I think the woven ribbon idea was fantastic; it really makes it look more masculine.
I love cards with texture and you certainly did a great job on these! I love the weaving and the snake skin look. Very nice!
Your backgrounds are awesome. I really like the woven background idea.
I love your backgrounds and the use of ribbon. How clever. I just love the cars of course. You know how to make a very interesting card. Thanks, Charlene
The backgrounds for your cards are amazing! They add a lot to the masculine feel of each card. I like how they really highlight the stamped images.
I love the woven background on the first card. It has never occured to me to use more "masculine" colors for a man's card. Now I need to go check my ribbon stash! THank you for sharing and for the inspiration.
Barbara I really like the ribbon weavng and backround on the first card. My favorite is the second card with the two leather backgrounds. Great cards.
I liked the flower behind the car on the first card.
Your backgrounds are awesome! Great work.
I love absolutely everything about these cards! The weaving, the aligator skin and the car mounted on the rosette are brilliant! You've given me great ideas. Thank you so much for sharing.
