Merry Christmas

Hello Everyone and hope you are doing well.
Currently, we have really cold weather here in N. Ky and I think it is going to be a long and cold winter. I hope not but the Farmers Almanac says a warmer winter is on the way. Well, time will tell.

Next week here in the US. we will be celebrating Thanksgiving Day on Thursday.

Yum - Turkey and dressing and all the trimmings. Looking forward to that.

And you know 4 weeks later we will be celebrating Christmas.

Speaking of Christmas, do you have your cards finished??

This year I am prepared (for a change).

Today is the start of the latest challenge over at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends
The sponsor for this challenge is The Paper Shelter

And I chose to use the Holy Night image.
What a wonderful set.
The image of the girl and the deer and the background of the wintry trees, beautiful.
Let me share with you how my card turned out.

I  layered my blue base card with a beautiful blue glitter paper and I then cut an oval out on the card front. I positioned the girl and her deer on the edge of the oval with snow studded pine trees right to the side of her.

Next, I added some pinkish poinsettias on the opposite side of the oval,
giving some balance to the card front.

Opening the card, you see the lovely wintry snow scene.

The sentiment really says it all.

I am submitting this card to the following challenges:

I hope you’ve enjoyed my card and will link up a project at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends!  We'd love to see what you create!  Don’t forget, the theme is always – Anything Goes

Have a great week and see you again soon.

Joy, Wonder and Peace

Well, how's your day going???

Mine.... well not too good. I am so late with this post. I am so sorry. I usually have my posts up at midnight. Seems that my days have gotten away from me. LOL (Maybe it's because of the time change)

Since the Christmas holidays are arriving soon, I made a super Christmas card and a few of my friends will be receiving this little, easy to make, card.

I usually like to make A-7 cards or 6"X6" square cards but this smaller A-2 card is perfect for this design and packs a lot in a smaller card size.

This card design also lets me use some of the paper pieces that I just seem to love to save/hoard.
I have so many scraps saved, I have enough for lots of cards,
probably will last me for the rest of my life. LOL
I think we are all like that.

Anyway, to open this card, flip the bird back and then the card will open.

I added the sentiment to a cardstock piece, positioned the same way as the bird on the flap.

The bow on the front is placed on the flap. I made it smaller and not too puffy.
I didn't want to overwhelm this card.

Here is a closer view.
The bow is just a smaller double loop bow.and is the perfect size for this card.

The Craft-Dee BowZ bow maker tool lets you choose the size of the bow and also how many loops you want the bow to have.
Now that's flexibility

Order yours today over at the Craft-Dee BowZ blog.
The order button is on the left sidebar.

I hope you've enjoyed this project and will link up with us this month for the November Challenge!
Remember, all of our challenges are Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow

I will be back soon with more inspiration for you.

Tickling Snowman

Hello everyone!!!
Are you believing it. It's November and pretty soon we will be celebrating Thanksgiving and then Christmas will be following!! Time is going by way too quick.

I have been working on making cards, keepsake boxes, pop & twist cards, ornaments and bag toppers for a show that takes place in downtown Cincinnati this weekend at the Duke Energy Center. I have a spot in the L&M Busy Hands booth. Myself,  and about 17 other crafters, will be having our handcrafted items for sale. If you are in the greater Cincinnati area, I hope you can stop by and check out all the vendors and stop by at the L&M Busy Hands booth and say "Hi". We'd all love to see ya.

Since I worked on bag toppers for the show,  I decided to use a bag topper as my inspiration piece for the November Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge. I love bag toppers. They really dress up a plain gift bag.Bag Toppers show off your creative side and really make that gift extra special.

I used the cutest snowman image from Kinda Cute by Patricia, this months sponsor at Craft-Dee BowZ. Let me show you how this project turned out.

Here are some closer views of this project

My bow

I added some snowflake ribbon in keeping with that snowman image.

Of course, I used my Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool to make my bow.
I also used Hug Snug seam binding for my ribbon.

You can order your very own tool over on the Craft-Dee BowZ site.

Well, I have to get back to the booth to add the finishing touches to my fixture and to assist where needed with the other crafters in the booth.

Hope you enjoyed my project and I will be back real soon with more fun projects.

Have a great week.
