Thanks for stopping in today On December 29 I posted a card that featured a different type of fold. Click here to view that post. I mentioned that I would be sharing the dimensions and some photos explaining how this card is made. Well today is the day.
Here is a pic of the card totally assembled

Below is a diagram of the size, cuts and scores for the card base
- For the score lines on the left side - you will only score between the 2 cut lines.first score line -score from the top cut line to the bottom cut line. The next score line is 1 1/4" from the first score line, again scoring just between the cut lines.
- For the score lines on the right side of the card - here you will only score between the top (or bottom of card) and the end of cut line. The next cut line score 1 1/4" from the first cut line on the right side, both top and bottom.
I have marked the score lines that should be a valley (V) or a mountain (M) fold.
(Not included) Next I measured the inside areas and layered coordinating papers and then I added my stamped image and verse. When folded, this will fit in a 5"X 7" envelope.
BTW - this card will stand on its own.
BTW - this card will stand on its own.
I hope you try this out. It's easy to make this card base and it is so unique.
It has become one of my fav's.
Here's another view of today's card that I made using this easy cut and fold.
Let me share a couple more views.
This one shows the card laid out flat. I put it on a piece of red CS so the card base wouldn't fade into the background. Not crazy with the red but it is what it is. It's just for the display here anyway. LOL
Below is the first view (same as above) of the card, standing upon its own.
Well I hope you try this card shape out. It is a fun card.
