Christmas Wishes

Hi Everyone and welcome back!!

I thought I'd share with you a Christmas card that is fun to make and really makes a statement.

The die cut tree is attached to give a 3-D look. Cut 3 trees. Score down the center on all trees and fold. Using Glossy Accents, attach the underside of right side of 1st tree to the underside of left side of 2nd tree. Attach the underside of right side of 2nd tree to the underside of the left side of the 3rd tree. Attach the underside of the left side of tree and the underside of the right side of tree on top of the white lattice.(I sure hope this description make sense)

Now your tree has a 3-d effect.

Well I know I don't need to remind you, Halloween will be here Friday and that means Christmas is going to be here before we all know it. (I know you don't want to hear that. LOL) You know that holiday sneaks up on all of us, every year!! Are you getting ready?? Have you started on your cards??

OK get ready for the kids and their begging. See you soon

Wishing on a Star

Hello Everyone,

Hope your week is going well. I am finishing up on a class I am giving this Saturday at Simply Said Rubber Stamps in Loveland Ohio.

This card is one from a prior class and uses the die set from My Favorite Things DieNamics Blueprints sets. Those sets are a wonderful tool to have on hand since they have so many dies in each set. You have a lot of designs that can be made from each set and if you own a few sets the designs really become endless.

Todays card uses set # 4.

I used glitter paper for the big stars. The center stars were made using an EK Success border punch and I added glitter to the stars panel  to follow that theme. I used those punched out stars over to the side on the card to balance it out.

Spooky Halloween

Hi Everyone,

It's the first Tuesday of the month and it's time for my October post for Craft-Dee BowZ. Halloween is such a fun time of the year and it's the theme for the CDB Design Team members posts all month and for the blog hop that runs Thursday and Friday. The design team has some spook-tacular projects in store for you this month and wait til you check out the bows. They're all yummy!!!

Let me share my card with you.

Halloween wouldn't be Halloween without a pumpkin, bats and spiders.I added a stamped and embossed spider web and that bat and the spider, are both great die cuts. My pumpkin is also a die cut and I added the funny face to give him some personality.

Take a peek of the close-up of my multi-loop bow. To make this bow I actually made three separate multi-loop bows and stacked and tied them together at the center.

Here is a close-up of the bow that I attached to the tag, This bow is a triple loop bow using seam binding..

You too can make bows just like mine. How??  By using the Craft-Dee BowZ tool. The tool comes with a  directions sheet and for those who like visuals, there are great videos that Donna has put together that  will walk you thru making bows. The videos are accessible on the Craft-Dee BowZ blog on the top tab.

Don't forget to stop back Wednesday nite at 10:00 p.m. et  for the start of our blog hop. You're sure to have some spooky fun and if you leave comments on all the designers blogs, you will be eligible to win your own Craft-Dee BowZ tool. The winner will be announced Saturday.

Bliss

Hi Everyone,
I have just returned from a week in Florida, attending the Collins Show, taking classes, doing M&T's at the show for Craft-Dee BowZ and having a fun time at Disney. The show was wonderful and I met so many great store owners from all over the U.S.I even ran into a few owners that I knew. Took a class from Tim Holtz and it was really a great class. Show & Tell  with my class projects will be next week. This week I have a few posts already scheduled and Craft-Dee BowZ is having a fun Blog Hop coming up Thursday and Friday. I need to get my blog hop project finished. The theme will be Halloween, that's always a fun theme to work with. Please try to join us for a fun blog hop.

When I packed for my trip, I decided to work on a few Zentangle tiles since it's been so long since I have tangled anything. So I took along tiles and my micron pen to work on something on the trip down. On the flight down, I worked on a tile just to shake off the cob webs. I sat next to a lady from Lebanon, Laura, who asked about the project. As we chatted she mentioned that she and her husband were flying back on the same day as I was and we had all reserved the same seats for the return trip.

Waiting in the airport for the return trip, I made Laura a tile for a gift. (Sorry I didn't think to take a pic). Laura was so surprised and loved the tile. We chatted all the way back and she was going to pick up a Zentangle book and try her hand at it.

Since I was in the Zentangle mood I decided to do another tile and color it with the new Pan Pastels I received while I was away.

Here is my newest Zentangle tile:

I matted it with a few different colors of card stock added a simple sentiment and wella..........

The sentiment was stamped using VersaMark and I covered the ink with an orange pearlescent Pan Pastel color. Yummy. I also used other pearlescent colors on this tangled piece.

Bump in the Night

Hi There,
Welcome to October 1. Do you believe it. Another month has started. Unbelievable!!! This year is coming to a close very quickly.

Also since this is the 1st of the month, the October Craft-Dee BowZ challenge starts today. Join in the fun. The theme is always Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow. Submit a project, you never know, you may be the next winner of  25 yards is yummy ribbon.

Halloween will be here shortly and I have a few Halloween projects to share with you over the next week or so.

Craft-Dee BowZ will be having a blog hop starting on Thursday October 9-10, so join in and leave comments on the DT posts and you might win your very own Craft-Dee BowZ tool.

Today's project is a card that is perfect for Halloween and would look great on the front of a bag as a panel instead of being made into a card.

I used 2 different Halloween themed papers and some others that complimented those papers.

The bow came about in kind of a funny way. When I received my ribbon for October I received 3 sheer ribbon colors  all layered together and wound up in a circle. Not on a spool or anything. As I looked at the ribbons and the 3 colors that were sent,  I decided to use the Craft-Dee BowZ tool with all three ribbons layered one on top of the other. I went with a 3 loop bow and since I was using 3 layers of ribbon that resulted in 18 loops. And if that wasn't enough, I felt I needed to add an orange-ish colored ribbon to the mix. So I made another 3 loop bow with long tails in that orange color. I positioned the sheer ribbon bow on top of the orange ribbon bow. Using the long tails from that orange bow, I tied the bows together and then just tied a small bow on the top to give it a finished look. I think I could have made 2 loop bows  and still have gotten a really fluffy bow.

Check out that silver bony hand reaching out from under the bow. It's the perfect embellishment for this card.

Well I will post another Halloween card on October 7, since its my regular monthly Craft-Dee BowZ post. It's another halloween card and I think you will like it as well.

Thanks for stopping by today. See you soon.
