Hello Everyone
WOW!!!!!! November is here and I am getting in the Christmas mode.
I have already got some presents bought and stashed away. How about you???
Speaking of Christmas, The Merry Little Christmas Challenge has begun and I sure hope you visit to check out the other DT's project. Great place for some Christmas inspiration.
So now it's time to focus on Christmas cards. Have you started making yours yet?? No!! Well let me give you an idea.
I know some of you like to make easy to make cards and some like more intricate cards. Well this card is kind of in-between, I think.
This card reminds me of a paint swatch you can get from the local store, you know, the ones that have a few colors in a color family and a little white space in-between those colors.
Here is my card
Doesn't that remind you of a paint swatch!
This card is a 6X6. Next I cut a white layer of CS and rounded the top two corners and attached it to the green card base. Then, I cut 3 green vertical panel pieces, the same width and about 4" in length. I used a spruce evergreen die to cut the smaller tree on the 2 end pieces and I used the medium spruce evergreen die on the center panel piece. I used the corner rounder on the two end panels. I trimmed the two end panels the same length on the bottom. The center panel is also trimmed on the bottom just a little higher than the end ones. These 3 panels are attached to that white layered piece. Next I attached the spruce evergreen trees in the open spaces and left a little white space to accent the tree shape.
I added a gold heat embossed sentiment to the bottom under those vertical panels. The sentiment piece is layered on a piece of gold CS. To add some additional interest, I used some gold dots from some outline stickers I have in my stash.
