Time for Paper Dolls

Hello Crafters,
Did you ever play with paper dolls??
I did when I was a little girl. Bet you did too.
Gee, I guess I'm dating myself, LOL.
Oh well age is just a state of mind (IMHO)

The stamp club that I belong to, has a theme card that we are to bring each month.
(Check out the post here that displays my theme card I made for the June theme)
We also have a challenge item that we must work with
and we then bring that to the club meeting.
At the May meeting we were given
 a Graphic 45 12X12 paper
Penny's Paper Doll Family (2017)

We were to use images from that sheet
and come up with a card
or some other project
and bring it to the
June meeting

Here is a pic of the 12X12 G45 sheet we were given

This is the cutest paper.
It would be perfect for a little girl to play paper dolls.
It contains a couple of dolls and hats, bows and dresses.
 And even some flowers.

Well I decided to make a card and use a pretty die from Becca Feeken
to show off the cute doll image.
Recently, I came upon some urn and sentiments images
from years ago from Flower Soft.
(Unfortunately they are no longer available.)
The flowers on the G45 sheet looked great growing out of that urn image.
My sentiment is also from Flower Soft from years ago.

SUPPLIES I USED ON MY PROJECT
Paper/Card Stock: Graphic 45  Penny's Paper Doll Family (2017), White CS

I am submitting my card in the following challenges:

Thanks so much for stopping in today.

The Cockatoo Rules

Hello and hope you are having a Happy Sunday!!!

Today is the beginning of the latest challenge over at
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends.

The sponsor for this challenge is
 The Paper Shelter

The prize will be 3 images.

The image I am using is the coolest cutest bird.
And he is known as Cockatoo Rules.

As I looked at him I just saw him breaking out, of something,
so that's where this card design came from.

Let me show a closer view of this cute bird.

Maybe he could be called Evel K the cockatoo - LOL

Well what do you think his name should be??

That's it from me for now.

Tulips Just for You

Hello everyone,
The monthly stamp club met last night
and I have a cool card to show you.

The Stamp Club Theme Card for June was
to use Stripes and Dots

I have a 6X6 paper pad stack that is gold foil - its such a pretty stack
Since the theme was strips and dots, some of the papers in the stack fit that bill

Here is a pic of the card.

I took this shot at an odd angle to be able to show off
the beautiful gold foiling on the paper.

I love using foiling it really makes a beautiful presentation,
however , its hard to photograph.

To give the layered foiled papers a somewhat different look,
I cut the dotted CS into 2X6" borders and
attached them to the card front across the top and the bottom.
I measured/marked the stripped CS down 1" from the top
and up from the bottom corners  on the left side.
On the right side I measured down 1 3/4" from the top and up from the bottom corners.
Then I trimmed away the stripped CS from the mark on the top left to the mark
to the mark on the top right and did the same
from the mark on the bottom left to the mark on the bottom right.
I then attached this stripped piece over the card front.
I love the different angles this created

I also have a digital image that I was itching to use and color.
These tulips are so elegant looking. I felt they would look
great gracing the card front over top of the foiling.

I fussy cut the tulips and added a circle of dotted paper under the image.
The colors of the dots complimented the colors of the tulips.
I wanted to add just a little more interest to the card front under the tulips.

The club meeting was nice and it was great to catch up with everyone
 since the last months meeting.

SUPPLIES I USED ON MY PROJECT

and I will share that with you all in a few days.

I will be back soon, with another card

With Love

Hello Everyone

Ever have one of those days or even weeks???
Well life got in my way this week and my post is ONLY  2 days late. I am so sorry

This is my Tuesday inspiration (by way of Thursday) for Craft-Dee BowZ  (LOL)

Don't forget the Craft-Dee BowZ challenge is going on all month
The theme is Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow
We'd love to see your creation in the challenge.
You could be the next winner.

Seems that lately I have been going thru a flower phase. LOL
And here is another flower card.

Well lately we have had so much rain,
the flowers are growing like weeds
and yes my weeds are growing too fast.
In fact it's been raining so much I have started to build an Ark

The flowers above are Lady Slipper Orchids
and I'd love to have a real one of these.
I have some orchid plants but none of these.
I will have to look around and see if I can find one.
In the mean time I will settle for a digi image of this beauty.

Hey, check out my bow.
I made 2 single loop bows,  one slightly smaller than the other
and stacked them one on top of the other.
The top one is a bit smaller that than the bottom one.
I love the look this gives and they are so easy to do.
Two stacked single loop bows

The urn and the sentiment are from Flower Soft from years ago.
Seems that I just never get rid of stuff like this
I finally use the stuff in a project years later.
I bet you are like that as well, surely I'm not the only one. LOL

Thinking of You

Welcome Back  !!!!

It's June 1 and that means spring is ending and summer will officially start on June 21.
Time is flying by isn't it!!

Since it's the first of the month, it's time for the next Craft-Dee BowZ  Challenge.

The CDB challenge is a monthly challenge and the theme is always:
Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow.

That's easy enough, LOL

The sponsor for June at Craft-Dee BowZ is

Imagine That

Even though spring is winding down,
I thought I'd use the very pretty image of

Pansies are so pretty and
I just love that they come in so many different colors.

I decided to use colored pencils for coloring these lovely flowers

I  tried using alcohol markers but felt colored pencils gave a softer look.
I used gamsol to soften the coloring even more.

I found a piece of DP I had saved and since it had a soft yellow background
and a soft pastel design, I decided to use it.
It was a perfect choice for the layered piece behind the image.

My bow - Made it using my trusty Craft-Dee BowZ tool

Easy to use,
itsmall and takes up little space for storage
or if you want to take it with you.

Order yours over on the Craft-Dee BowZ site.
