The Ribbon Fairy

Hi Everyone,
Well it's Wednesday and I will be cooking my green beans slowly all day in preparation of Thursday's dinner. I am also going to try a recipe I saw on pinterest, Apple Dumplings. I will report back and let you know how these turned out.

In the meantime, I have been busy, finishing up on a few projects that I need to get done. I will put the finishing touches on them later today.

I also saw the cutest ornament that was originally shown back in 2012.These were called ribbon dolls and click here to see these cute creatures.(Saw these on pinterest the other day and I remember when they were origionally introduced) I was compelled to try my version of the fabulous creatures.

So let me ask you, what do you get when you combine a doll stamp, lop off the legs, add a butterfly, a bow and some ribbon??  Let me show you my creation.

A Ribbon Fairy

This little magical creature was so easy to make and I decided to call her a Ribbon Fairy.

The doll stamp is a Julie Nutting image -  "Mindy" and the wings are a butterfly image from Earth Art International -(Animal Spirit Stamps) Luna Moth. I added ribbons and a bow for the filmy dress and put a loop on her back to be able to add her to a Christmas tree or hang her from some other spot. My bow was made using my Craft-Dee BowZ tool.

Happy Holidays

Hi Everyone

Welcome to all my new followers. So glad to see you all.

Today, I am back with another Christmas card creation to help with some inspiration for you.

This card was so fun to design. On my white panel, I used glitter to cover the double sided tape that I attached diagonally. You could get the same effect with a tape runner as well.Hope you try it.

That scalloped three sided frame was made by using a die from the Dienamics Blueprints 14 set. Those die sets are so fun to use and really let your creative juices run wild.

Peace Love and Joy

Hi There,

Thanks for leaving all your comments last week on my posts that showcased the Diemond Dies.I really appreciate your comments.
Make sure to visit Craft-Dee BowZ all month to check out what the designers are up to. They all have really cool ideas to share with you.

Are you getting tired of Christmas cards?? Me neither!! I love all the great stamps and dies and embossing folders that are out on the market to make gorgeous cards for the holiday season.

Today I decided to use some corrugated box remnants on my card. This lead to a shabby chic look.(Love it)
Two die cut designs and some white paint, a little glitter and a punched strip and circle or two and basically the card is finished.

Shabby chic is a favorite style of mine, although I don't make as many cards in that style as I should.

If you like shabby chic, use some corrugated box panels. That will give you a awesome look.

Thanks for stopping by Hope you have a wonderful week.

Thank You

Hi Everyone

Welcome back. I am back sharing my last project using the Diemond Dies. These dies are great!! One of the best features is that they release the paper/CS so easy, love that!!

Don't forget there is a giveaway that will be announced on December 1 over at Craft-Dee BowZ.

Today I used the fern die and the asters die set.

Here is the card I made using those dies.

I want to share how I made my flowers. They actually stand up in the back on top half.

I cut flowers from 3 dies, the 2nd and the 3rd smallest dies and the next to the largest die.

Next I stacked the 2 smaller flowers on top of each other

The larger flower, fold in half, with the petals offset

Next attach the layered flowers on top of the folded flower. The folded flower will be attached at the center of the smaller layered flowers.

Here is a side view

Here is what the flower looks like close up, attached to card.

When the flower is attached it will lay at a popped up angle.I know you can use dimensional foam, but this gives a somewhat different look. Hope you like this look. Try it on your flowers, and they should mail very nicely since there is no dimensional foam for these.

Leaving comments here will qualify you to be eligible for the giveaway announced on Sat. Dec. 1 on the Craft-Dee BowZ blog.

Here is my card

To achieve this two-tone tree. I just cut 2 bare trees from different colors of cardstocks and attached them together in an offset manner.
I used alcohol inks on the leaves to get the various colors.

Here is a closeup of my multiloop bow.
I stacked the brown sheer bow on top of the gold stripped double loop bow.
These 2 ribbons arethe perfect colors for the fall themed card.

When I received this die, I envisioned a wreath so that's what I designed for you.

And I really wanted the wreath to stand on it's own so to speak, so I made an easel card.
And here is the card opened.

This is a view from overhead, to give a view of the base and the wreath opened.

Here is a close up of the wreath

Now its time for you to start thinking about your cards and projects. Hope this gives you some ideas.
