Falling For You

Hi there and welcome back!!

I am so very excited to let you know that I have been selected to be on the DT for Crafty Creations Challenges. Their challenges are for a two week period, and I would love it if you would stop over and check out their site. It would be great if you would join in the fun and submit one of your creative projects as well.
I will be looking for your submission.

The sponsor for this bi-weekly challenge (challenge #299), is Stitchy Bear,
The lucky challenge winner will receive 3 stamps (max. value $10)
Stitchy Bear is where you can find the cutest digital images and they have a great selection of different categories. Something for everyone.

I would like to share my take on the CCC theme of Falling For You
I was thinking out of the box on this one,

The theme title made me think of the season, Fall, not the love theme that some may think of.
The Stitchy Bear image I selected to use is Baby Bee Enjoy the Fall

The digi includes the smaller pumpkins I used at the bottom. Perfect for a small border.
I perched this cute bee on top of a darling pumpkin die cut. It's a perfect fit.

Hope you enjoyed my take on the theme.

I will see you in two weeks for my next
Crafty Creations Challenges  project.

    True Beauty

    Hi Everyone
    Thanks for dropping by today.

I usually post for Craft-Dee BowZ on the 1st Tuesday of each month, However since September 1 is the day CDB announces the challenge winner and its also the day all us designers post our inspiration projects, I decided to post on another day. Since there are 5 Tuesdays in September, I pushed my post date to the 5th Tuesday of September, and that's today. And that means that tomorrow is the last day in September. I can't believe October will be here in 2 days, Holy Moly!!!

Each month we designers have a theme for our posts and the theme for September has been Steampunk or Numbers. I chose Steampunk, of course, since its a fun theme. Because I knew this theme was coming up, I have been picking up a few things for this theme and setting them aside. So I finally pulled out all  my goodies and put together this 9"X12" panel. I decided on the layout and hot glued things down. I don't want anything falling off. LOL  Here is the end result.

If you notice this time I didn't make a bow. I made a tassel instead. I thought it was a perfect fit for those keys. Tassels were grand  during the Victorian era. Since Steampunk is Victorian-esque, I thought the tassel would be a perfect fit for this theme.

Here is a close-up of the tassel and it's right by those keys. I used seam binding instead of ribbon or bakers twine to make my tassel. After I finished making the tassel, I cut the dangly pieces in half because I felt they were too wide. I also aged the tassel to appear old and somewhat tattered.

    .

A tassel using the Craft-Dee BowZ tool??  Sure. With that bow maker you can make tassels as well. That tool is so versatile. Donna has a video that walks you thru making a tassel using the CDB tool. Click here to view the video, its only a little over 3 minutes long.

This was a fun project to make and since it's a panel, it will make a nice display in my home.

    Wishing You a Merry Christmas

    Hi there Everyone
Whew, its good to be back in blog land today. I have been busy with behind the scenes things, teaching classes and life in general. And we all know how life gets in the way from time to time.

Today I want to share a cute odd shaped Christmas card, and with Christmas getting closer, you will probably be seeing more Christmas cards from me. I know I have card classes slotted in October and November and the cards are Christmas themed.

Isn't this the most unusual shape for a card. I love it. I decided to use a Christmas/Winter theme on it, Hey, check out those designer papers, they are not holiday oriented. But I think everything works great together anyway.

This is a fun card and it certainly is a funky shape. When you open the card, the inside can house a gift card. This card shape can be perfect for anytime of the year,(gift card or not) but especially the upcoming holidays.

Here is a view of the card opened.

I love these odd looking card yet they are so so easy to make and it fits perfectly in an A2 envelope. You just have to love these kinds of cards
