Untie The Ribbons

Hello and welcome back,

Today is the first Tuesday of the month, and that means it's my turn to post over at Craft-Dee BowZ and I thought I'd share that post with you here. (This month I am back on track posting in my regular time slot)

The fall season has started and the birds will be migrating south for the winter so we will be seeing fewer birds over the upcoming months. So since I had this pretty bird stamp in my stash, I thought I'd use it.

The bow  I made for this card is a double loop bow. I added a few of my handmade flowers to the sentiment panel on this card. I also used a corner punch on the sentiment panel.

    Merry Christmas

    Hi Everyone,

Well, today is the 1st Tuesday of the month and that means it's my turn to post at Craft-Dee BowZ. This month's theme is Christmas/Holidays.

Here is the card I made for this month's theme.

My Santa stamp is so old but my most favorite Santa stamp ever. I added stickers for the ornaments, the sentiment and the pine bough. For the background panel I used a sheet of paper that depicts images of Santa. Those images are about the size of a postage stamp. I used vellum to tone that paper down since I wanted my stamped Santa to be the focal point.

I glittered the ornaments and colored the pine bough with an alcohol marker.

The bow is a multi loop green sheer organza ribbon. I love working with that type of ribbon. It makes the best bows.

Here is a closer view of the bow.

Reminder - Please set aside a few minutes to join us in out blog hop. The hop starts tomorrow nite at 10:00 p.m. ET and ends Saturday at noon.

Leaving a comment at the Craft-Dee BowZ and on the design team members individual posts will make you eligible to win the prize of the Craft-Dee BowZ tool.

Hope to see you at the hop.

    Peace

    Hello Everyone

Are you getting in the spirit?? how's the shopping coming along??

Well today is December 1 and it's time for the December Challenge over at Craft-Dee BowZ

Here is my inspiration card I submitted.

This ribbon is spectacular. Red with woven stripes and gold confetti-like pieces on it. I also added a little of a gold colored leaf ribbon.

That panel with the swirl on it, is paintable wallpaper. (I've had it for years) I used alcohol inks to color it and the coloring turned out fabulous. The panel was too pretty to cover up with anything else so I just added a die cut "Peace" on it to finish it off.

    The Ribbon Fairy

    Hi Everyone,
Well it's Wednesday and I will be cooking my green beans slowly all day in preparation of Thursday's dinner. I am also going to try a recipe I saw on pinterest, Apple Dumplings. I will report back and let you know how these turned out.

In the meantime, I have been busy, finishing up on a few projects that I need to get done. I will put the finishing touches on them later today.

I also saw the cutest ornament that was originally shown back in 2012.These were called ribbon dolls and click here to see these cute creatures.(Saw these on pinterest the other day and I remember when they were origionally introduced) I was compelled to try my version of the fabulous creatures.

So let me ask you, what do you get when you combine a doll stamp, lop off the legs, add a butterfly, a bow and some ribbon??  Let me show you my creation.

    A Ribbon Fairy

This little magical creature was so easy to make and I decided to call her a Ribbon Fairy.

The doll stamp is a Julie Nutting image -  "Mindy" and the wings are a butterfly image from Earth Art International -(Animal Spirit Stamps) Luna Moth. I added ribbons and a bow for the filmy dress and put a loop on her back to be able to add her to a Christmas tree or hang her from some other spot. My bow was made using my Craft-Dee BowZ tool.

    Just For You

    Hi Everyone,

How are you doing today?? Hope you are having a wonderful day.

Today is my post day for Craft-Dee BowZ. This month the theme for the designers is masculine. Those seem to be difficult cards to come up with for some reason. LOL

The card I made uses a stamp that I have had for eons and will probably love it til I die. The stamp is from Great Impressions and it's still available.

    Isn't that birdie too cute!!
My bow is just a single loop bow, and to make it somewhat different, after the bow was finished,  I just pulled on one of the loops and that made the bow lopsided, which is exactly the look I wanted. Let me show you a closer view.

The ribbon I used is a very nice heavier cloth ribbon, like a herringbone ribbon, and is better suited for a single loop bow, perfect for this theme and card.

Craft-Dee BowZ has the best bow making tool around!! If you don't own one you may want to check out the videos to see how easy it is to make a bow using the tool and then order one for your very own. You won't regret it!!

Before I forget, I hope you stop back Thursday for the Craft-Dee BowZ bi-monthly blog hop. Stop and comment on all the designers blogs along the way and that will put you in the running for a prize give away of a Craft-Dee BowZ tool of your own.The prize will be awarded on Saturday.

    Beautiful

    Hi Everyone,
Hope your holiday weekend is nice. I know some are experiencing some bad weather, lots of rain and hurricane weather. Hopefully that will die off soon.

In the meantime, I would like to share a card with you today. I have no idea what this design is called and it's pretty easy to make and for the life of me, I have no clue where I got the dimensions from. I may have got it off of Pinterest, I will have to look there.

Anyhoo.......... here it is.  I like these kind of foldy, foldy cards.

The card stands up on it's own and is just a panel cut in parallel lines and scored and folded
Hope you can see that from the pictures. And wouldn't you know it, I stamped  the sentiment on crooked.Just my luck.

Here is another view (Yep that sentiment is crooked)

And finally a view with this card, flat.

This card is about 5.5" square, next I am going to try to make one that fits in a 5"X7" envie.
If I am successful I will post and give the dimensions.

    Thinking of You

Welcome to June!!! And welcome to my blog!!!

WOW do you believe it, it's June 1. Awesome isn't it. Summer is really closing in fast.

This month at Craft-Dee BowZ there is a Blog Hop starting Wednesday June 4 at 10:00 p.m. EDT. This month's blog hop is being sponsored by The Paper Nest Dolls. The prize - $25.00 gift certificate to the Paper Nest Dolls store. We hope you can attend.

The theme this month at Craft-Dee BowZ for the designers, is Fairies and Butterflies and the primary color is shades of aqua. What a great theme and love that color. The design team have some special projects in store for you. So I hope you stop in at the Craft-Dee BowZ blog each Tuesday. My post will be Tuesday June 3. I'd love it if you could stop back.

Since it's June 1, let me share with you the inspiration project I made for the challenge post over at Craft-Dee BowZ.

Don't you love that teal blue color. I used a stamp that's been in my stash for eons. It's from Fiskars and I just love this stamp. I covered the image with a blue Gelato and spritzed it with a quick water spray. Then I stamped it off and reinked the stamp with Rusty Nail. When I stamped the image again it gave me that rusty look with a bit of the leftover blue Gelato. It was just the look I was after.

Oh that teal background panel is stamped with a Unity Stamp from the Layers of Life stamp set for May. I used VersaMark for the water mark look.

That bow - I made a double loop bow using a wider white sheer and layered that teal ribbon on top (triple loop bow). That flower next to the bow is a teal and rusty color combo.Love it. More lace and ribbon layering under the stamped image. If you are bow challenged, then I have the perfect tool for you.

This tool is the best bow maker on the market. Easy to use and it takes up just a small amount of space, plus the metal pegs are stored inside the tool. You can order one here.

    The Cards for Club

    Hello Crafters!!!

Tuesday nite was the monthly club meeting and we were given various items to draw from to make our challenge card.

Well I looked at the pile of goodies and decided on the flowery photo corners and the matching flower disc and the sentiment, "sunshine".

I also used a new die that I picked up this weekend. The die is flowers and thought it would kind of go with the flowery photo corners.

Well let me show you the card...................
