November Stamp Club Challenge Card

Hello crafty people
Tuesday night was the monthly stamp club gathering
at my house and we had a great time as always.

Last month we were given a challenge piece offered a lot of possibilities.

Each of us were given a bag of goodies and we were to use anything in the bag to use on our challenge card.

Here is what was in the bag. Lots of stuff........ for sure
There are felt tags, a stamp, fabric tape, duct tape and some ribbon all in that bag.

We could use 1 thing or whatever we wanted from this stash, on our card.

I am not a CAS card maker
but I decided to use that David Tutera fabric tape
and that stamp and make a CAS card.

Here is the finished card.

I only used 2 items from that great bag of goodies.
The center horizontal pinkish piece is the David Tutera fabric tape
and I also used the stamp.
The rest of the vertical and horizontal pieces
on this card are washi tape from my own stash.
I wove these together and added my stamped image.

How I did my fabric/washi tape -
I attached the tapes onto cardstock in strips.
Next I cut the strips apart right along the edges of the tape.
Then I decided the lengths I wanted to use and cut the lengths.
Then I notched the ends.
I then wove the pieces and used tape on the backside
and attached this piece to the card.

I stamped the words onto CS, cut it into a rectangle
and inked the edges and attached it to the card front and I was done.

The tape is bright and cheerful
and this design would make a great birthday card
and I am sure you could come up with other themes as well

SUPPLIES I USED ON MY PROJECT
Stamps:  Clear stamp Inkadinkado - Friends Words (This is a very old stamp and is no longer in production)
Paper/Card Stock
: White CS
Ink: Moments - Angel Pink. India Ink - Black
AccessoriesFabric tape, Washi tape

I am submitting my card in the following challenges:

Hope this card gave you some ideas!!!
Instead of Washi tape you could also use printed paper scraps.
And we all save every last piece of paper, don't we. LOL
I know I do.

Well that is it for now. Hope you have a crafty weekend
I will be back soon

November Stamp Club Theme Card

Well hello crafters,
Hope everyone is staying warm. As I write this, it's 12° outside - too cold for the first part of November IMHO. (I am in the Greater Cincinnati area.)

Tonight was the monthly stamp club meeting and the theme card was "Just Say Thanks".

For my theme card, I  used a Bugaboo image and for the sentiment I used a really old stamp that contains the alphabet and I then punched the letters out and placed them above the image.

I fussy cut the image and there was some white space left and I felt it detracted from the image and the card. So, I found a gray spectrum noir alcohol marker that matched up pretty well with the gray in the DP so I colored in all the white space and it matched up nicely. However this photo shows that gray marker kind of blue, but on the card it is more gray.

We had a wonderful time and planned our Christmas get together for next month. I have calls to make to get a reservation for  the 7 of us at a restaurant for our December meeting and we have 3 places on our list. (Some places will not take reservations, so I have 3 places, in order of preference, and hopefully one of these 3 will take reservations.)

SUPPLIES I USED ON MY PROJECT
Stamps:  Rubber Stamp - Circle Framed Alphabet - Great Impressions (still available on their site), Digital Bugaboo - Pumpkins and Leaves
Paper/Card Stock
: Orange CS, Black CS, White CS DP
Ink: Memento - Tangelo
Accessories: Spectrum Noir Markers, Small Circle Punch

We always have a challenge card to make as well, and I will share that one with you on Friday. So please stop back to check it one out. A hint - if you like CAS,  this one might be right up your alley.

I am submitting this card to the following challenges:

Thanks so much for stopping in today.  Hope you have a great week and stay warm.

Peace On Earth

Hello Crafters,

November is here and chugging right along, isn't it.

Today is November's first Tuesday
and time for my Craft-Dee BowZ inspiration post

I wanted to make something plain/clean and simple,
however that really isn't my style.

This is about as close to plain/clean and simple as I will probably get.

Seems like I am hooked on pine trees
and this awesome die cut, lately.

Before making this card
I  just imagined standing in the middle of a pine forest,
with a little snow falling, and the quiet of the moment.
So with that in mind, here is my card..............

Here is a closer view of my fluffy bow.
It's a triple loop made using very sheer ribbon (my fav)

The great thing about the Craft-Dee BowZ tool is,
it's easy to use, it's small and portable and easy to store.
Makes great bows, whether they are little or larger, say for a gift.

November 2019 Craft-Dee BowZ challenge

Hello Crafters

Welcome to November and to another new month.

Last nite was Halloween and
the weather here was so cold,
(about 35 degrees) and I had a grand total of 10 kids.
Poor kids.
Fall has definitely set in.

November ushers in the start of a new
Craft-Dee BowZ challenge

Our November sponsor is
Imagine That

Winner will receive:
A $12 gift coupon to the Imagine That digishop

I'm in Christmas card mode these days so
here is my card using Snowman Trio.

Aren't these guys ca-ute!!!!!
So where is my bow???

Well I thought the best place for my bow
would be on those cute little  Christmas gifts.

I used the Craft-Dee BowZ tool to fashion a multi-loop bow,
using bakers twine and sheer ribbon.

I used a side step card for my card base.
The showman trio are standing in a wooded area
holding gifts.

On the side steps I added die cut trees
and added more gifts on the front of the side step area.

The great thing about the Craft-Dee BowZ tool
is that it makes great little bows
as well as the larger bows to use on regular size gifts

If you are bow challenged - the CDB tool is for you.
Small but makes great bows.
Portable, easy to store.
