Seasons Greetings

Welcome to the next challenge over at the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog. This will be the last challenge for 2026. Time has flown hasn't it!!!

Click here if you are needing the playing guidelines.

Are you getting ready for Christmas? OK maybe just thinking about it??? LOL

Do you still send Christmas cards?? I know I still do. And of course if I am giving a gift card  I also make my own gift card holder.

So with that in mind even if you do not mail cards, Christmas cards are a great addition to accompany the gifts you will be giving.

Here is a card I made with a friend in mind. She loves cardinals and this paper design really made me think of cardinals.

As I was working on the total design, I thought the cardinal would look great on a circle. Then I added some additional die cut evergreen sprigs and that tied it in with the design on the paper. That white space on the opposite corners is the perfect place to add the sentiment.

Products I used:
  • Dies - Cardinal - A Jillian Vance Design
  •            circles - Spellbinders
  •            Pine Sprigs - Dee's Distinctively
  • Sentiment - Inky Antics  - Filled with Joy
  • Paper - Gold CS, White/Cream CS, Green CS, Red CS, Black CS, DP
  • Ink - Memento - Northern Pine
Well that's it for this card. Hope you are inspired and we'd love to see your card in the challenge.

Thanks for stopping in and hope to see you soon

Happy Fall

Hello everyone
Looks like we are in the home stretch for 2026. Time sure goes by fast.
It's time for the last Love To Scrap Challenge for 2026. If you need to review the playing guidelines, click here

I love fall, but I really love all the 4 seasons, because after 3 months of a season, I'm ready to move on to the next one.

I decided I wanted to use a pumpkin on my card and I have a pumpkin die from Accu-cut  that I really love using but it is a little large for the design I had in mind. So I just trimmed it down and it turned out to be the size I needed.

Going thru all the scraps that I have saved (and I have boat loads), I came across some papers that I thought would work well with this card.

I added some punched leaves to add to the fall theme.
The sentiment is from a stamp set from Maymay Made It. I stamped it on white CS using orange ink but the sentiment itself didn't really show up. So I used a black fineliner pen to trace the letters. Definitely able to read that sentiment now.

This card turned out so sweet and perfect for our fall season.  Hope you like this card.

Items I used:
  • Paper - Orange CS, Green CS, Brown CS, Mulberry Paper, Two different DP's
