New Releases from Sparkle N Sprinkle

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for stopping by and I am excited to let you know that Sparkle N Sprinkle has just released some new stamp sets and they are all fabulous!!! Today I am sharing 3 cards with you.

The first set I want to show you  is really perfect for this, the harvest time of the year. Three great images and 5 verses that will fit your fall/thanksgiving needs.

set 474 Fall Harvest

I used 3 different dies to highlight the beautiful cornucopia and the verse.
BTW, don't be afraid to use a portion of a die cut, to accent a portion of your card.

OK, let's move on to the Christmas holiday for the next new set.
I really fell in love with this set. Of course, Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year, so, maybe I am a little prejudiced.

set 475 Holiday Foliage

The 1st card I made uses the poinsettia and this design is perfect to layer up, like a medallion image. That open leafy looking border on the right side is from a punch that will make a flower if you curl it up. I thought it looked great as a border and compliments the leaves on the poinsettia.

Next up is card #2 using more stamps from the Holiday Foliage set.
The Pine Cone Swag image makes a great wreath, doesn't it??!!
I am sure this set will become a favorite of yours, like it has mine.

I am sure you will come up with some amazing cards using the stamps in these new sets.

Make and Take

Hi Everyone
I  thought I'd show you  two cards that I made using some 3-D sheets made by Hot Off The Press. These are so easy to work with and make a really pretty card.

Each of the 3-D sheets give you the capability of making 3-4 different cards. You just need some card stock for the card itself. Let me show you a few of the cards I worked on today.

view of the popped up star.

The snowflakes are popped up.

You may notice the punched areas on the cards above. I used Mini 8 Punches. One design is Snowflake and the other is Flourish. These are by We R Memory Keepers and I really love these punches and the looks that you can achieve.I even came up with a bag topper for a smaller bag. Check this out!!!

I made a total of 17 different cards using quite a few of the different  HOTP 3D Paper Tole Die Cuts. All the cards will be examples of M and T cards that will be available to be made at Stamping Buddies.

I will be at Stamping Buddies, Saturday Oct 27, 1p.m. - 4 p.m. for Make & Take Saturday. Each month Stamping Buddies will be hosting a Make and Take on the last Saturday of the month. This month and next month, the theme of the M and T's is Christmas. The M and T's are only $1.00 per card which is a great price for a beautiful card. You will pick the card you want to make, assemble the 3D Paper Tole portion of the card, use the Mini 8 Punch on a background panel and then finish the card.

For those of you in the Greater Cincinnati area, stop in at Stamping Buddies 4343 E Galbraith Rd.Cincinnati, Ohio on Oct 27 between 1p.m. - 4 p.m. to make a pretty card and have a fun time.I'd love to see ya.

Thanks for stopping in here today!!

Fright Night

Hi Everyone,
Have you got your Halloween costume yet?? Picked up that candy for the trick-r-treaters?? Well I thought I'd share another Halloween card with you.

I just received an embossing folder of the witch and I embossed it on black paper and fussy cut it out. Attached it to the lime green cs, added glitter and used a darling stamped image of the pumpkins and a witches hat. That image and the sentiment are both in Sparkle N Sprinkle's set 357 - Halloween Spooky Window. I used a glitter border on both the black cs and on the lime green cs. Making that border was easy to do and easy to make straight lines. Just use the Tearific Tape, available over at Sparkle N Sprinkle. I also used  Spirited Green Glitter G1070 and Mystic Mauve Glitter G1005, and they have the best glitter.

Oh, that broom in front of the card, I have pictorial directions showing how to make it. Go over to  my techniques and tips page for the link.

Thanks for stopping by, see you soon,

Happy Birthday to Joe

Hi Everyone
Today is my brother's birthday. I made this card especially for him. The little car die cut on the card is one that I spied this summer and had to buy it with him in mind!! That die is a Marianne Design die. She has some great designs!!

The city scape is from Accucut and those papers are dictionary pages. The pages I used - one has the word birthday and the other page that has the word October on it.

My brother has always loved cars.He is a Ford man except for the Corvette he had for a few years. It was mine for about 5 years and I sold it to him, since he was dying to buy it. He has owned his fair share of cars that's for sure.He especially loves the old cars. He has restored cars and built cars from spare parts. He had a '32 Ford that was in the Cavalcade of Customs in Cincinnati years back, and I must say it was a beauty!!! I did love that car. He sold it much to my dismay!!

Oh well here's to you my brother, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! May you have many more!!

Thanks for stopping in today

The Loss of a Pet

Hi Everyone
Recently a good friend of mine just experienced the loss of one of her two dogs. I am sure she was devastated. I know I would be.

I thought I'd share with you a card that uses a set that is dedicated to pet loss. I find that these kind of stamps are hard to find. So when Sparkle N Sprinkle introduced this stamp set, I was so grateful.

The set I used is 472S Pet Sympathy. It is a stampette set which means the set is somewhat smaller. This set is cute and is a wonderful set to have on hand for times when a card is needed when a friend loses a pet.

This card was fun to make. I made my own glitter paper for the background behind the dog, using Sparkle N Sprinkle Shimmer Embossing Powder EP137.(Go to my Techniques and Tips page to view my "how to" video.) Don't be afraid to use various odd things to add texture and interest to your creation. I love using corrugated paper from boxes. Save some from a package you get, it's free!!

Thanks so much for stopping in today, see you soon!!
