Happy 4th of July

Hello, hello, hello!!!

Welcome to my 2nd post today

As I Mentioned in my first post today, I have been accepted on 2 design teams and I am really excited to be part of these fun teams. They are sister design teams in sister challenge blogs, Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and you might be familiar with these challenges. The challenges post on the same day and this is my 2nd post and  am showcasing my card for the  Love To Scrap Challenge Blog.

I went thru my scraps (and I keep lots of scraps, I guess you can call me a scrap horder - LOL). I try things out and might not use the trial piece but I will save it unless it's a disaster. Since I will keep the trial piece, it sometimes will give me inspiration for a project down the road. So, I went to my scrap tray and spied this patriotic piece and decided it would be perfect since July 4 is righr around the corner. Perfect timing for this medallion.

First, here is the inspiration piece that is in my scraps tray

I made this a long long time ago and thought this would be a great piece on a patriotic card. So that's how my card came to be.

I made a new medallion and rounded up some patriotic images and here is my finished card.

That inspiration piece looks great with the stamped images from my stash.

Merry Christmas

Welcome back and no I haven't died!! I know it's been a while since I last posted much and I have been in the midst of doing some remodelling and it has literally taken up a lot of my time. But the major portion of the remodelling is over and I can get back into my crafting mode. (Yea!!)

In the midst of this remodelling project that has taken on a life of its own, I have been accepted on 2 design teams. They are sister design teams, Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and Love To Scrap Challenge Blog So I on 2 (new for me) new design teams. I am so excited to be sharing this news.Since the challenges post on the same day, my first post for today is showcasing my card for the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog. Below is my project

This card was so fun to make. That horse is an old paper drink coaster. Kind of like paper napkins it has 3 layers. So I peeled the layers off and glued the paper with the image to a piece of white CS. After it was totally dry I used a scalloped circle die and trimmed it up.Next I layered the coaster on a red scalloped circle and then layered that on a gold circle. Next I added the holly and the berries and then a sentiment and attached that to the square card base, which is a white card with gold and red layered CS
