Time for Tags

 Hello Everyone

Thanks for dropping by today.  It's time for my last post here for Craft-Dee BowZ for 2020. I usually post my inspiration piece on Tuesday, the first Tuesday, but that happened to be the first of the month, so I decided to post it today. And if I waited til the last Tuesday, as I sometimes do, Christmas would be over. So here I am.

I decided to make a few tags for gifts and add some bows to give you all some ideas for the gift giving season.

Both my tags are 4"X5" and would look great as an accompaniment to a gift bag or a boxed gift of some sort.

Tag #1

The ribbon on this tag is a Hug Snug seam binding
that started out as white, but I colored with Mona Rouge Fresco ink.
It turned out to be the exact color I was going for.

the flowers are poinsettias from Heartfelt Creations
and so is the green accent behind the flowers

Tag #2

The bow on this tag is a fluffy triple loop bow using a green sheer ribbon.

Here is a closer view of the bow

Time for Fall and Pumpkins

Welcome to my Craft-Dee BowZ Inspiration Tuesday post for October. Do you believe it, Fall is really here!!!

Every Tuesday the designers all take turns posting an inspiration project for your viewing pleasure. You can view their projects on the individual designers' blog or you can check out the project over at the Craft-Dee BowZ blog

For todays card I decided to make a card depicting pumpkins and giving the feel of fall. This time I used Bakers Twine in an orange shade instead of using ribbon.

Let me share my card with you

Pumpkins always remind me of fall so
I used an image from Bugaboo that fit the bill

Here is a closer view of my bow.

This is a multiple loop bow and
I used my Craft-Dee BowZ tool  to make it using this bakers twine.
Works great with the twine,too.

The CDB tool really aides me in making all my bows.
And you don't need to use ribbon.
My bakers twine bow is a perfect example

Do you have your CDB tool yet?? No???
This tool is smaller, easy to use, travels well and it's easy to store.
It will make bows from 1" to 4 1/2"
You can order yours by clicking on the
Buy Now button here on the left sidebar.

Just a reminder -

May 2020 Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge

Hello Crafters

Welcome to May and to another new month.
Warmer weather - ahhhh!!

May ushers in the start of a new
Craft-Dee BowZ challenge

Our sponsor this month is

Cute As A Button
The Winner will receive:
2 digital images
Click here to check out the digi's
over at Cute As A Button

I used the darling digital image
Hot Cocoa
on my card.

I took this shot at an overhead angle
to show off that foiling on the DP
I used a sheer ribbon and underneath is Hug Snug seam binding
I made this bow as a test to see how it would turn out
and how much work it would take to get the bow to suit me.
Not too bad IMHO
I cut the sheer ribbon first,
and decided the length to make a triple loop bow.
Next I cut the seam binding the same length.
After the cuts, I stacked the ribbons one on top of the other.
Next I made the bow the same way as I always do
Then I fussed with it a bit to have the seam binding show in some spots
and the sheer to show in different spots.

This gives a different look from a stacked bow.
(In stacking the bows I make 2 different bows
and then stack one on top of the other
and tie them together)

I use my Craft-Dee BowZ tool to make all my bows,
and its so easy to use.
The great thing about the Craft-Dee BowZ tool
is that it makes great smaller bows for cards or gift bags
as well as the larger bows to use on regular size gifts

Just For You

Hello Everyone,

Hey, thanks for stopping in today.

Since its the first Tuesday of the month,
it's time for my Inspiration Tuesday project
over at Craft-Dee BowZ

Now that April is here I decided to use a floral stamp. My stamp kind of reminds me of a dandelion which we all seem to fight throughout the warm weather season. I just got this stamp in a set that I ordered late last week from Rubbernecker.
Now I really didn't need a new stamp set, but I fell in love with the whole set
(organic set #3)

Let me share my card with you.

Let's check out The Bow

I decided to use a triple loop bow.
And I placed the bow on the side of the card. It was the perfect spot.

Here is a closer view of my bow.

I used my Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool.

Good Luck

Hello Everyone,

Hey, thanks for stopping in today.

Since its the first Tuesday of the month,
it's time for my Inspiration Tuesday project
 over at Craft-Dee BowZ

And since March is here and we (some) will be celebrating St. Patty's Day soon,
I decided to make shamrocks for the front of my card
and what better sentiment  than the Good Luck sentiment I used

I used heart punches to make the shamrocks,
even on the tiny 3 leaf shamrock

Not much stamping on this card - just the sentiment
Let me share my card with you.

If you like shamrocks and you've never tried using hearts to make 'em
you should give it a try!!!
I really like the 3-D effect you get making the shamrocks this way.

Let me share with you this quick and easy way to make shamrocks.
I used punches but you can also use dies

Step #1
I punched 2 hearts, one for the base of the shamrock (I used DP) and the other was a dark green CS These punched pieces are both the same size. For the small shamrock, I used 2 really small punches, the larger of the 2 is the base and the smaller is the top.

Step #2

The heart piece you will be using for the top, fold it in half , (Mine is the dark green CS). Leave the bottom heart flat - no fold.

Step #3

Add a touch of liquid glue down that center fold line

Step #4

Attach that top heart down the center of the bottom heart, It will be attached only on the glued fold line.

Step #5

For the larger shamrock, I used 4 hearts (but you can use 3)

Step #6 (for a 4 leaf shamrock)

When using 4 hearts, I overlapped the bases a little and added a stem. Overlapping will allow you some room at the bottom of the hearts to add that stem.

Stem #6 (for a 3 leaf shamrock)

For a 3 leaf shamrock the bottom heart really doesn't need to overlap on any of the other bottom hearts. Add a stem and you are done.

If you are using a really small punch, the same process will hold true.

Easy peasy

Lets check out The Bow

I decided to use a single loop bow.
I didn't want to over shadow those shamrocks. LOL.
As I assembled the card front,
I decided where I would place the bow,
Bottom right area.

Here is a closer view of my bow.

I used a green sheer ribbon for this bow.
Nothing fancy or over the top and it's perfect for this card.

I used my Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool.
Don't forget, the Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool is the best tool out there
that will aid you in making your bows.
The tool is small , easy to store, easy to use and so portable.
