Flowers Galore

Hello Everyone
Welcome back to my blog. Since it's the first Tuesday of the month, it's time for my Craft-Dee BowZ Tuesday Inspiration post for July.

Believe it or not, my project does not have any stamping (images) this time. But this project definitely calls for a bow (IMHO).

Let me share this cool project with you.

This is called a Flower Bag Box.

I made this box and gave it to my friend for her birthday, last week.
She was so surprised, and loved it.
I figured it might look great in her guest bath.

The top was the perfect spot for a bow.

Here is a closer view of my bow.

My Bow - I used Hug Snug (Yep, by now you know it's my fav bow making material) which is a thinner ribbon (really its a seam binding) and it makes it easy to make a quad loop bow.

Don't forget, the Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool is the best tool out there
that will aid you in making your bows.
The tool is small , easy to store, easy to use and so portable.

Happy Birthday

Hello Everyone,
Hope your  week is treating you well.

Today is the 1st Tuesday of the month and it's time for the start of  June's Inspiration Tuesday over at  Craft-Dee BowZ. Here is the card I made. I decided to use another Bugaboo image. They are the sponsor of the June Craft-Dee BowZ challenge

The bow -

I decided to use a quad loop bow,
and thought the bottom right area would be the perfect place for the bow,

Here is a closer view of my bow.

I used Hug Snug Seam Binding ribbon for this bow.
Nothing super fancy or over the top and it's perfect for this card.

Hello Everyone,

Since its the first Tuesday of the month, it's time for my Inspiration Tuesday project
 over at Craft-Dee BowZ

February has gotten underway and we are inching our way to Spring. That's a good thing.

Spring makes me think of flowers
and I thought I'd share a card with a beautiful poppy on it.

The poppy is a stamped image from Stacy Stamps
It'spart of a 2 stamp set (cling mounted rubber stamp set)
and the main stamp is the one on my card and the other is a  corner stamp
You will find this stamp set in the garden collection in her shop.

Let me share my card with you.

I added a little sprig of a die cut greenery

Here is a close up view of my bow.

To make this bow, I used a white sheer ribbon, (my fav) and its a triple loop bow.
The left top corner was perfect for this bow.

I used my Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool. Don't forget, the Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool is the best tool out there that will aid you in making your bows.

Warm Winter Wishes

Hello Everyone,

It's already the first Tuesday of the month. That means it's time for my Craft-Dee BowZ inspiration project.

I must be in a hurry to get thru January, I somehow keep feeling it's February already--------wrong. LOL I guess that's wishful thinking. LOL

Well since it's still January and we really just started winter, I thought a card that has more of a winter theme might be more appropriate so I decided to use a really cute image.

Let me share my card with you......

These guys look like they are freezing, don't they LOL

I don't know about you, but some images have added dots and stars etc. around the drawn image. But when you fussy cut, they get left behind. And this image is no exception. So I added some sticky dots and stars back in to add interest around the image.

Since I had stars as accents I decided to add some to the bow as well.

Here is a closer view of my bow.

This bow is a triple loop bow using Hug Snug seam binding and boy does it make great bows!!!

I used my Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool. Don't forget, the Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool is the best tool out there that will aid you in making your bows.

The tool is small , easy to store, easy to use and so portable.

Boo to You

Hello
Hope your are having a great week so far.
Today is the 1st Tuesday of September and
over at Craft-Dee BowZ that means its Inspiration Tuesday.
Usually I post an inspiration piece on the 1st Tuesday
and the other designers post on a Tuesday throughout the month as well.

OK,  let me share with you my Tuesday inspiration piece.

This card design came about because of an art piece I saw at a home goods store.
It really appealed to me. (Obviously - LOL)

See that background paper??? That gray and white patterned paper.
Well I had some paper that was this design but it was pink not gray.
Well I put that DP in my copier and copied it as a B &W
and the B&W selection on the copier gave me exactly what I was wanting.
I trimmed it and used it as a layered piece over a dark gray cardstock.

My pumpkin is an old die from Accucut and it's still available.
It comes with eyes a nose and a mouth and a leaf.
I will use the other pieces some other time.
I cut the pumpkin out and then cut another center piece.
I used my paper shaper to shape the end parts of the pumpkin
and that extra center piece.
I added foam tape to the extra center piece and
attached it over that center area on the main pumpkin shape.
It gives the pumpkin dimension. I also inked the edges using gray ink.
I added a bow and this is the end result.

OK after I made that card, I thought that pumpkin would be cute on a handle bag.
Perfect to use that bag for Halloween Trick or Treating.
I decided to make a bag topper
Here is what this finished up as.

This looks so cute.
Same pumpkin - same background paper and I just mounted it on a extra large label shape
and added some pretty leaf ribbon .
I added a slit to that label shape and slid it down on the front bag handle.

You can see the slit and the fold spot right above the stem

SUPPLIES I USED ON MY PROJECT

And the stockings were hung.....

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping back.

You know Christmas is approaching FAST!! I seem to always be making cards at the last minute. However this year I am more prepared. (YEA!!!)  All of my Christmas cards are done.

Today is the 1st Tuesday of the month and that means its time for me to post a fun inspiration project for Craft-Dee BowZ.

Since we are really getting closer to Christmas, I decided to spotlight another Christmas card.
I have used an image from Bugaboo and I hope you like this one.

I have been on a foiling kick lately. I decided to foil this image so I printed this image out 3 times using my laser printer. I foiled each of the images in a different color. I used blue, green and red foils. I used my Heidi Swapp Minc Machine to apply the foil to the laser printed areas.

I used blue foil for the base image. That made the snowflakes and the sentiment foiled in blue.

For the next image, (I foiled it in green foil) I took the green foiled piece and added some green alcohol marker coloring between the foiled lines, fussy cut just the two green foiled stockings and attached them with dimensional foam, over the original stockings.  Lastly, I took the 3rd image, I foiled it with red foil and also colored between some of the lines with some red alcohol marker. I fussy cut just the red foiled stocking and attached it over the green image with dimensional foam to pop this up

Here is a closer view that will show off those foil colors.

I intentionally left the glare on the image to show off the foiling and the colors.

Here is the finished card.
