This Rose is for You

Hi Everyone
Even though it's the last Tuesday of the month and I am popping in with another inspiration card to delight your crafting senses.  LOL

Just a reminder,  Friday is September 1, and that means that Craft-Dee BowZ will be starting the next monthly challenge.

Please stop by then to check out the winners of the current challenge and to see the inspiration projects made by our talented designers for you for September.

OK let me share my card for August.

I started with a 6"X6" card base. Next I added a pink holographic piece cut to 5 3/4" X 5 3/4" and layered that on top of the card base.

Next I cut a pink piece 5 1/2" X 5 1/2". I added a punched area on the left using a Martha Stewart using a Punch all over the Page. I added another border on the right, using a white CS strip and using that same punch. I attached my bow thru some of the lattice openings on the left side.

I have been playing around with my Mini Minc Machine and I had this cool Rose w/ leaves outline. Well I couldn't get it to foil. But I have a pen that has liquid toner in it so I covered the rose and the leaves using that, added the pink foil to the rose and the green foil to the leaves and ran it thru the Minc and it worked great.

Next I added pink CS to the back of the rose and some green CS to the back of the leaves and popped it up on the front of the card.

Last but not least I made some handmade flowers for the bottom right corner area and used 2 leaf punches to add the greenery to my handmade flowers.

Thanks for stopping in today. You still have a day or so to enter the August Challenge, you could be the winner!!

Otherwise I hope you will be back Friday to see what's up for September.

Cat Lover

Hello Bloggers,

Today is the beginning of challenge #64 at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends.

I am a cat lover from the word go. Have had cats in my life since I was around 3. So when I saw this cute image over at Peppercus, I knew I just had to use it on my project. This design is called Cat with Flower Vase #E0027.

Recently I saw a few cards in the step card design and since I have a few different dies that cut step cards, I thought I'd use that as my card shape. This one is a tall center step card and I love it because it fits in a 4 1/4" X  5 1/2" envie.

On the center and the side portions of this card, I used some of my  Gelli Plate papers for those spots. On that bottom section of the card front,
I used glitter paper that is a color that went with my Gelli Plate papers.flower stems in the water.
How cool is that!!
Made my own yellow flowers and placed then on the sides of the card.

Used a cat embellishment that was perfect for the card front.
Added a pink butterfly to the bouquet.
I also colored the vase to show a bluish water and I just drew some flower stems in the water.

The Liliana Fairy

Hello Bloggers,
Welcome to August 1. Time for a new challenge over at Craft-Dee BowZ. The theme is always the same - Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow. Hope you can join in the fun, you have about a month to get a project designed and submitted. We'd all love to see your creation.

Well, summer is about half over. So since summer will be coming to an end soon, I decided to use a cute fairy image from Cute As A Button. It makes me think of a pond that I used to visit when I was in my early teens. It was close to my house, I would walk down to it. I would see turtle heads bobbing up and down sunning themselves floating so close to the top of the water, I could see the shell of those turtles. Also the dragonflies would fly by and skim the water's surface. I can just envision this fairy floating by as well.

This fairy is named Liliana Fairy and I thought you'd enjoy seeing her. She is from the Cute As A Button collection of digital images. And they are the sponsor at Craft-Dee BowZ this month.  Stop by their shop and check out all their great selection of digi's.

This cutie is sitting in her leaf boat paddling thru the water.

I used colored pencils and gamsol to color the image. Next I added some glitter to give the water some additional interest. And those flower embellishments were the perfect accent to the oval.

The squares are from a Punch Around the Page punch. I punched a straight line of them and then trimmed them into single squares.

My bow, it's made using the Craft-Dee BowZ tool and I used some sheer ribbon, my favorite type. Makes a great bow and shapes really well.

Here is the tools that makes bow making easy for me.
