It's a Guy Thing

Hello my friends!
Hope your week is off to a good start.

It's time for a new challenge over on the Artsystamper Challenge Blog where the team is showcasing digital images designed by Beverly Cole at Artsystamper Digitals!   The 1st and 3rd Monday of each month brings another Artsystamper Challenge and today's theme is
It's a Guy Thing

This theme gives you plenty of time to get a Father's Day card made
or maybe you need a birthday card for a guy
Please check out the cards that designers made
all with "a guy" in mind

Since guys love getting cards too, I decided to use
the Cruisin' set for a great guy card for Father's day.

Now wouldn't this be a cool birthday card???

I used images from the set
Cruisin'

You know, it is really quick & easy,
to create a digital card using these cool images.
I really love working with them!!  Be sure to check 'em out!

PRIZE you say . . .

To Brighten Your Day

Hello everyone

I thought I'd pop in to share with you a sweet card. Hopefully this will make you smile.

I think sunflowers are a smile making flower. So here is a card I made using a sunflower that can be found in the Sunny Sunflower Digital Stamp and Paper Kit. Click here to check out everything you receive in this super kit.

Before I forget - The Artsystamper Shop has a sale going on - 25% off  a purchase of $20.00 or more until May 15. You have a few days before the sale ends.

When I was deciding on what the card was going to look like, I decided to make the flower about
5 3/4"X 5 3/4" So I  printed 2 of them out and colored one with colored pencils and used gamsol to shade. I then could not make the card I had in mind, it just wasn't going to work.
So I decided on a   5" X7" card with the sunflower off to one side. I fussy cut the flower postioned it to the side of the card and snipped off the petals that hung off the edges.  The other sunflower I had printed, I colored some petals and cut those out placed them randomly and giving the flower more of a 3-D  effect. I also cut the center of the flower out colored it and popped it up after I glued the extra petals.

Here is a side view

I added a few flat backed bronze pearls and the sentiment and this card is done.

This digital set has other sunflower images as well,
so I hope you take a peak at what is included in the set.

Hello everyone

Hope you all are doing OK. Hang in there, it will get better.

I thought I'd pop in today with a card for all you coffee lovers. This card is also a perfect thank you for the coffee lover you may want to give a gift to.
I even added a spot for a gift card. Check out the card.

This card opens from the  bottom up
instead of from right to left, like a book.
Card front (Card closed)
I used a glass and inked the bottom rim to get my coffee rings

Just For You

Hello Everyone,

Hey, thanks for stopping in today.

Since its the first Tuesday of the month,
it's time for my Inspiration Tuesday project
over at Craft-Dee BowZ

Gosh!!  May is already here and we are about half done with spring.
Hope everyone is handling the changes in our lives pretty well.
I get lonely at times but other than that I am doing OK

I watched a video the other day and loved the way the background came out so I made one and used it on this card. This technique is easy and is perfect if you save scraps. And if you are like me, I save every scrap of paper in fear that I will need it or could use it in the future. So I went into my scraps drawers  (notice I said "drawers")  and got out some printed papers out and cut them into strips and made this background.
I just love the way it turned out!!!
click here to view the video I watched

Let me share my card with you.
I was in a red mood as I picked the papers and the ribbon for this card.

If you watch the youtube video, you will see that she uses glitter between the paper strips however it doesn't photograph well here, but it looks great on the card.

Let's check The Bow

For this card, I decided to use a triple loop bow.
As I was making the bow, that ribbon I used reminded me of hose (pantyhose). Very  very sheer. I love the way this ribbon works up into a bow.
Easy to manipulate and get those loops just right.

Here is a closer view of my bow.

I used my Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool.
Don't forget, the Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool is the best tool out there

that will aid you in making your bows.

The tool is small , easy to store, easy to use and so portable.
