Hot Air Balloons

Hi Everyone
It's Barbara here with my last post for Just Imagine Crafts/Kreaxions. I have been on this fabulous design team for 1 year and the time has flown by. You know the old saying, "Time flies when you are having fun". I had a blast. Got to work with a whole host of fabulous tools. I love the Kreaxions punches,(they are the best), a great circle cutter,(you will have to try it to see what I mean!!) and other tools as well. I had the great opportunity to work with the sweetest and most talented group of ladies. I will miss everyone on their design team.

For my last post I have used punch 918 - curves. It reminds me of swirling winds, so I thought this was a perfect punch to use on this card.  Also used the circle cutter to cut the partial circles. The circle cutter gives a perfect cut every time.

Well that is it for today. Thanks so much for stopping in today. I will see you soon.

It became a butterfly

Hi Everyone
I have a card I want to share with you today using a beautiful butterfly punch, punch 901, from Just Imagine Crafts/Kreaxions.
I received a new stamp set the other day and it ties right in with the butterfly punch.

The great thing about these punches is the fact that they punch borders, corners, circles, they do what ever you want the punch to do.

I also used a great circle cutter that is available from Just Imagine Crafts as well.
You can see that punch used on this card punched in the corners showing 2 different corner presentations and I used the same punch to punch around the edge of the circle.

I added glitter to the various punch out areas and that makes the punched areas really stand out.

That is it for today. Thanks for stopping in and I will see you soon.

First, I announced the winner of the Sparkle N Sprinkle  December Sketch Challenge and it's Katyd. Katy please email me so I can arrange to get your prize out to you. Check out the Sparkle N Sprinkle January Sketch Challenge. It's a monthly challenge so you have all month to enter!!

Next, I participated in the Year in Review Blog Hop and I want to sincerely thank each of you for stopping by to check out the 12 cards I chose to spotlight from the past year.I also said I was awarding 2 prizes to 2 of the persons who commented on my post. So without further ado, the winners are:

Meg - Stamp set winner
Dee in NH - Glitter winner 2  1/2 oz jars - Two different colors

Lastly, I want to welcome 3 new followers who've signed up to follow me.  Thank you!!

OK now it's time to get on with my post for today!!!!

Well, today it was my turn to post over at Just Imagine Crafts/Kreations and I want to share what I created for their post.

The stamps are from Inkadinkado and the reason I chose these stamps is because they are birds. First, I just love birds, but more importantly, these birds reminded me how fast 2011 FLEW by. I bet 2012 will fly by fast too.

Just Imagine Crafts has some amazing punches and the punched border on this card was made using punch 918 curves. It really compliments the birds stamp I used. Swirls and curves.
I've had a few comments on my bows, so, just to let you know, most of my bows are made using my favorite bow maker tool, E-Z BOWZ. That tool is available thru Just Imagine Crafts also.

Well, I think this is going to be an interesting year, but they all are, aren't they?? See you soon.

Believe

Hi Everyone,
WOW!!! Christmas is a week from today!!! You know, we always know when Christmas will be here, and it seems it sneaks up on us each and every year. At least it does that to me. Today I am wrapping my gifts. I hate to wrap gifts just a few hours before the recipient opens the gift so I am getting that chore done today. I shouldn't call it a chore, I love to wrap. Always have, even when I was a kid. And I have always loved to make bows too.

In the meantime I have a cute card for you today. I used a stamp from Sparkle N Sprinkle. This stamp is in set 385, its stamp 3048-385E Santa Believe. Every stamp in this set is a perfect stamp for that last minute holiday card you need to make. These will look great on tags too.

I used the perfect punch for Christmas cards/projects from Just Imagine Crafts/Kreaxions. It's the Holly Punch 914. This has become my Christmas go to punch this year. And after this week I will be putting this one away for a while. I mentioned I like to make bows, I used the E-Z BowZ Maker on this card. In fact I use this bow maker on almost all the bows that I have on my cards.

I will be back with a few more posts this week so if you need a break, stop back in for a few minutes to see what I will have for you. Have a great week and try to stay stress free!!

Christmas is on its Way

Hi Everyone
I want to share a card I just made for Just Imagine Crafts/Kreations.And oh my, just think Christmas will be here in 3 weeks!!! Whoa, where has the year gone??? I know you all are getting ready for the holidays and I thought 'd share this card with you. I've wanted to make this card for a while.

I made the wreath by cutting sprigs that are on the Tim Holtz Alterations Sizzix Tattered Pinecone die. I arranged them in a circle and rhinestones were added. That verse in the center says it all, doesn't it!! To finish this card off,  I knew I wanted to use a  punch on the corners but I wanted to make the corners stand out more. So, using gold card stock cut to 1 1/2" squares, I used punch 902 from Just Imagine Crafts/Kreations to punch just one corner of the small squares and then I added those to the corners of the card front.

Well that is it for today. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great week.

Letters to Santa

Hi Everyone,

Did you all have a great Thanksgiving?? I sure did. Now it's time to get those cards and letters out to friends and family and of course to Santa.

This is the cutest stamp of some forest critters getting their cards out in the mail. I used silver mirror card stock and it really is like a mirror, sorry for the glare on the card, it's reflecting me taking the picture. The mirror CS is just too much like a mirror. So next time I will have to remember that, if I ever use it again. Maybe I will look around for a dull silver instead.  This card posed other problems but this is what I wound up with and I am still not super happy with it. The first go at this card had a totally different background and it felt too busy for the image. Oh well.

Please stop in tomorrow for a look at the the next Art Impressions Weekly Challenge theme.

Supplies used:
Art Impressions Christmas Mailbox - U1530
Copic markers: R00, R14, R29G94, YG67, O, C-2, C-5, YR65, W7, E25, E71,B21, B24, B32,  B95,BG10, BG72,  V04, V09, V17,
Ink - India Ink

Just Imagine Crafts/Kreations - Holly Punch 914 (used on the Corners)

A Child is a Precious Gift

Hi Everyone,
I just received some punches that I had ordered from Just Imagine Crafts/Kreations and the one I chose to use on this card goes great with the flowers in the stamped image.I chose punch 903-Flowers.

,
In using this punch, I was trying to make a lace look alike and I am really happy with the way the "lacy" border turned out. The Kreations punches are so versatile, and the selection is great. The 4-in-one punches are perfect in that you can get 4 different looks with one punch. I can always find a punch that will work with the project I'm working on.

Thanks for stopping by today, and have a great week.

Holiday Cheer

Hi Everyone,
I've been working on holiday projects lately and I thought you might like to see the tag I just finished. I know, you are thinking.... Christmas??? Now??? Halloween isn't even here yet. Christmas will be here sooner than you think. It always sneaks on me.  And, if you are like me, I usually wait to the last minute to get my Christmas packages wrapped and ready to give.So here is a great idea for a tag to use on one of your gifts and I am making mine early this year and placing them with my Christmas wrapping so at least the tags will be waiting for me. I used the Just Imagine /Kreations holly punch 914, which is the perfect punch to go with the Sizzix leaves I used on this tag. Check out the bottom corners, I used insert C on the punch to get that corner punch look. The penguin and the sentiment are stamps from 2 new sets from Sparkle N Sprinkle. The Pengie is in set 438 and the sentiment is in set 439.

Products used:
Tag - Accucut die
Holly - Sizzix Die
Glitter - Sparkle N Sprinkle - Parisian Mist G1007, Fire Engine Red G1007
Stamps - Sparkle N Sprinkle: Penguin in the Playful Pengies set 438, Sentiment in Tis the Season set 439
Ribbon - May Arts
Paper- Green CS, Red CS, Designer Paper
Copic Markers- YR65, YR61, R29, C-1, C-5, 100
Punch -Just Imagine/Kreations - Punch 914

Well that is it for today. Stay tuned for more card creations
Have a great week,

Smile with your Heart

Hi Stampers,
The punch used in today's card is from Just Imagine/Kreations, and I used punch #917 . It's a cool punch, it has hearts on it.  When I ordered it, I had envisioned using it for Valentine's Day, and I'm sure I will. However the punch goes great with the stamps I am using on today's card. It's funny how things just fall into place.

The 4-in-1 punches are quite the bargain. What other punches give you all that versatility with one punch. I am always amazed with the different looks you can achieve when you use the inserts that come with each of the 4-in-1 punches. This punch has wide versatility and will work with many different themes besides Valentine's Day. I can see it used on a scrapbook layout with pic's of the family, love, the grand kids, your husband, the kids, you get the picture. I am sure you will think of many many more themes and uses. Make sure to look at the whole array of Kreations Punches. I'll bet you see something that will be just right for your project.

The stamps set used on the today's card are part of a set from {ippity} stamps. It is set IPK-120. Click here to go to the {ippity} store for a great selection of stamps.

Holly for the Holidays

Hi there stampers,
Since the kids are headed back to school, the holidays are not too far behind. And you know what that means..... time to start thinking about Christmas/Holiday cards. So with that in mind, here is a holiday card design for you to take a look at.

I used a punch from Just Imagine Kreations,  punch 914-Holly to create the border on the white CS. I used no inserts when I made this border. I love the fact it goes so well with the holly I added to the card. What a perfect punch to use on your holiday cards.
Punches add so much to a card and the punches available at Just Imagine Crafts Kreations are great because you can change the look of the punch by switching the inserts. You can make borders or turn the punch into a corner punch and even get 2 different  looks with the 2 corner inserts. All the inserts come with the punch. There are other tools available to get even more looks using these punches.Hope you try one of these cool punches.

Holly Punch - Just Imagine - Kreations  Punch 914

The holly leaves - Heartfelt Creations HCD705
Ornament - Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom Ornament S4-283
Sentiment - Appears in the new Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp set 439- Tis the Season, (available soon).

Have a great week and thanks for stopping in today

Christmas Bells

Hi Everyone,
I know it's been a hot summer and so I decided to make a card to help me think of cooler temps. It really didn't help too much though.

I know there are quite a few people out there who like to get a head start on Christmas cards. So with that in mind, here is a card to give you some inspiration, I hope.

The stamped image in the circle on the belly band is called Bell Circle, stamp # 0199-135k from Sparkle N Sprinkle, and is so pretty. I used Copic Markers to color the image. Also the punch I used is from Just Imagine Kreations and is punch #923. I nestled the Bells in the ornament shape which was cut using Spellbinders die S4-283,it's the   2010 Heirloom Ornament.

I have used this card shape so many times because I really like it. It is such a versatile card shape. But I have found that adding a belly band just pumps the card up a notch. When I made the belly band for this card, I punched all the way around to give the card a finished look. I also layered the belly band using a silver CS underneath the shimmery blue CS. Here is a pic of the back of the card.

The inside is layered with a silver textured CS and more of the shimmer blue CS. I used a template from Just Imagine Kreations to get the doily effect and used a circle cutter to cut the sentiment out.

I layered these elements and then punched the corners and then attached to the inside of the card.

This card has turned out so cool looking that it will probably be one of the designs I use this Christmas season for my own personal cards.

Card recipe:
Card Shape: Accu-cut Die
Stamps:Sparkle N Sprinkle  verse Magic Wand - 3380-414C,  Bell Circle 0199-135k
Card stock: Silver CS, Silver textured Cs White CS Blue Shimmer CS
Ink: VersaMark
Embossing Powder: Sparkle N Sprinkle - Silver Detail  EP257
Copic Markers used:(Copic Marker sets available thru Sparkle N Sprinkle) G21, B21, R29, Y28, YG67, E43, E51, 0
Spellbinders Die:(available thru Sparkle N Sprinkle)  S4-283  2010 Heirloom Ornament
Punch and Template - Just Imagine Kreations: Punch #923, Template

Hope you saw something you can use in your cards.

Have a great week and try to stay cool,

An Adventure

Hi Everyone
I am entering this card in this week's challenge over at Art Impressions. It's the Art Impressions Challenge #19. I love their stamps and thought this challenge would be fun since it is monochromatic.
Doesn't this bicycle stamp remind you of the days right around the time of the introduction of the automobile??? When I opened my  stash of wood mounted AI stamps, this one was begging to be used. LOL  So here is the design I made. And if I rode that bicycle it truly would be an "Adventure".

Products I used:
Stamp: Art Impressions P1971Bicycle, F2563 Adventure
Paper: PopTones (My favorite CS)
Ink: VersaMark
Embossing Powder: Sparkle N Sprinkle Daffodil EP217
Punch: Just Imagine Crafts/Kreations Punch 304

That is it for today. Thanks for stopping in

Hi there! and welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog hop!  If you hopped here by way of DeeDee Maligno, then you're in the right spot. If you'd like to start from the beginning to become eligible for great prizes, then click here

There will be 2 winners for this blog hop:
  • The grand prize - 1 stamp set of your choice and 1 each of the designers donated products.
  • 2nd prize -  the stamp set of your choice.
The drawing for the prizes will be May 14 and the winners names will be posted to the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog.

To become eligible to win the prizes:
  • please leave a comment on each blog.
  • Return to the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog and leave a brief comment about which design(s) you most enjoyed and why.
Now, let me share with you my creations.

My first card was made using stamps from set 285  -  1900 Cars
1902 Curved Dash 1337-285G
Oldies but Goodies  1354-285B
Green Nugget Glitter - G1065
Spellbinders Label 1 - S4-161
COPIC Markers  - COPIC1A
Using ribbon is usually a "girlie" accent but if you add it as a woven element it becomes masculine.
The glitter is a nice accent that picks up the color of the car. Don't be afraid to add an accent of glitter to that masculine card.

My next card is a little more clean and simple.

On this card I used an embossing folder to get that background texture. Next, I used a dark brown leather-like paper. I used a corner punch from Just Imagine Crafts to add interest to the corners.
This card used stamps from Set 285 - 1900 Cars
1914 Chevy Royal Mall Roadster  - 1335-285E
Classic Birthday - 1353-285B
Spellbinders Label  - S4-309
Copic Markers - COPIC1A

My donation to the grand prize is:  Green Nugget Glitter.

I hope you've enjoyed viewing my cards and all the designers cards as much as we did in creating them.

Today was a Play Day

Hi Everyone!!

Today I had a great play day in my studio. Gina stopped over and decided she wanted to make a card to give her daughter to celebrate her promotion at work. So Gina and I put our heads together and she designed and made this beautiful card.

Gina used the following:
Tim Holtz Rosette die
Sizzix embossing folder
sentiment from Sparkle N Sprinkle set 435 - Graduation
Lilies from Sparkle N Sprinkle set 402 - My Rose Garden
Punch from  Just Imagine Crafts - Punch # 901

Isn't this card spectacular. I am sure her daughter will just love this card, especially since her mom made it just for her.

Well that's it for now, stop back, I have a really cool card to show you Friday. It's to celebrate Saturday. (Hmmm..... I wonder what is going on Saturday?!?) You gotta stop in Friday to see. LOL

For this card I used punch #901and used the C insert to transform the punch to a corner punch. I saved the little butterflies that were punched out from the corner punching and used them on the side under the large butterfly. The large butterfly is a die and it fits in any machine that you currently use with any of the other dies on the market. These items are available thru Just Imagine Crafts on their website.

Watercolor and Spring

Hi Everyone,
Spring is slow in coming, we are expecting snow tonite and up to 1". So........ lets think spring. One of these days we will be wishing for cooler weather. LOL.

Since spring is on the horizon, I made a watercolor that exudes springtime flowers. Art Impressions has the nicest stamps that make great watercolor scenes. So I made a beautiful scene, added handmade flowers and punched a great accent strip using a Just Imagine/Kreations punch. A little leaf ribbon from May Arts adds to those handmade flowers and here is the card.

Well, I decided to submit this card to this weeks Art Impressions Challenge #9 - Watercoloring. Hope you enjoyed this and I hope it inspires you to do a little watercoloring. Thanks for stopping by,
