Baby

Happy New Year!!! It's 2026!!

It's time for the next challenge over at the Love To Scrap Challenge Blog. This challenge has started and will continue thru February 15. Hope you can join in the fun.

For my card I decided to use an old technique - Iris Folding!! Are you familiar with this old technique???  Its really not hard to do and there are designs and books available out on the internet. Another good thing is you can use paper scraps, and we all have scraps don't we!!. You want to use scrapbook paper weight, not CS weight

I also wanted to make a card with a baby theme. I have an Iris Folding book with a baby bootie, so this worked out great for me.

This technique brings back some old and fun memories.

Supplies used:

Paper - Blue and dark blue CS, DP, White CS
Bootie Template - Craft Special Book - Festive Iris Folding
Ink - Memento - Nautical Blue
Embossing Folder - Spellbinders
Alphabet - Great Impressions Stamp  (old stamp & company is no longer in business)
Circle punch
Heart Brads
Twine - Blue/white

Hope you enjoyed this card and the Iris Folding technique I used. If you are new to this technique, I hope you will give it a try.

We would love it if you would join the challenge blog, we are a scrapping challenge blog welcoming all types of scrapped projects - cards, scrapbook layouts, ATCs, mixed media, altered items, 3-D projects, etc. - using bits of leftover items in your stash or new stuff!

Thanks for stopping by today. I'm looking forward to seeing your creation in the challenge.

Tis the Season

Hello and welcome to my blog. And Happy New Year to you all!!!

Well since it's January, it's time for the start of the next challenge over at the Merry Little Christmas Challenge. The challenge has started and will run thru February 15. I'd love to see your creations

I know there are a lot of you all that start with your Christmas cards early, so, here is a darling card that you might be interested in.

I just love nutcrackers and smokers. They were huge hits in the 80's. Yea I know I'm showing my age. LOL OK  I saw these Nutcracker stickers at Hobby Lobby and couldn't resist buying them early on, back in late October. (Went back early December to add more to my stash and they were gone. Oh well hope to see them next year)

This nutcracker guy is adorable and he really commands attention so I put him on the card front.

Next I designed the inside of the card to be a telescope card. Its simple yet very cool.

For added interest, on the inside I added embossed panels on the sides and also added some silver border stickers to just JUJ it up a little more.

The sentiment "Sending You Christmas Cheer" fit perfectly in the opening.

Hope you get inspired by this card and the elements I used

Supplies used:
Nutcracker Dimensional sticker - Hobby Lobby
Paper/CS - DP, White CS, Blue CS, Silver CS
Embossing Folder - Spellbinder EOM Aug 24
Oval Dies - Spellbinders
Sentiments - MSE - Happy Holiday (old)
Silver Border Stickers - Stamp On It

Well that's it for now.
Thanks for stopping by today. I'm looking forward to seeing your creation in the challenge.
