From one Glamorous Babe

Hi Everyone,
This is the first of 2 posts for thursday. I am actually posting early, on Wednesday nite.
This card is made as a shaped card. I decided to use a nesting flowers die from Quickutz. This is a cool die. Thought I use this die to make a shaped birthday card.

I think I am hooked on these hilarious ladies. And the sentiments just make the cards even funnier. This is no exception.

See what I mean!!! LOL

Please make sure to peruse the many great stamps available over at Art Impressions.I'm sure you will find exactly what you're looking for.

Thanks for stopping by and stop in at the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog hop in the next post for this date.

Friends are your umbrella

Hi Everyone

Whoa!!!!! It's February 2 and today is Groundhog day. Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow. So you know what that means, 6 more weeks of winter. So far the winter here hasn't been too bad. Lets hope the next 6 weeks are as mild as the last.In the meantime..................

The challenge this week over at Art Impressions, is an Easel card. I really love doing these types of cards. They are fun and they can be interesting to figure out how to display and to photograph.
This card was no exception. I got started on this card and I decided how I was going to fashion the easel then I decided on the cloudy background. Next, I decided I wanted the umbrella to be a 3-D umbrella, so I took care of that.

Here is the card closed

And the card is sitting opened

Here are 2 more shots that will give you a better look at the umbrella's dimension.

Hope you've enjoyed  this card. Go ahead and try an easel card, they are easy to do and look so cool sitting open.

Supplies used:
Colored Pencils
Gamsol
Cloud stencil
Inks used - Distress Ink-Pumice Stone, India Ink - Black

Thanks for stopping in today, see you soon.
