Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog Hop Fabulous Folds

Hi Everyone,
If you arrived here by way of Marie's blog, then you are at the right place. But if not, and you want to be eligible for great prizes, then click here to start from the beginning.WOW, by now you are you getting inspired, are you having fun. Fabulous Folds!! What a great theme for our first blog hop for 2013.

Prizes will be awarded, so don't forget to leave comments on everyone's blog, 'cause that's how you become eligible for the prizes that are to be given away.  This is a 4 day blog hop so you'll have plenty of time to view all the projects and leave comments. The prizes are stamp sets, flocking, glitter embossing powders, etc.BTW, there are 3 designers who've been designated to have prizes "hidden" on their blogs, so comments are important and we LOVE getting comments. They really make our day.

I am so excited to show you my project for this hop. Since the theme is Fabulous Folds, my project definitely takes advantage of that theme. With folds in mind, I decided to make a Book Card. This project has a lot of folds, so it fits perfectly in with this theme. Accordion folds become the frame of the book  From a side view it looks like pages of a book don't you think This looks so difficult but is really quite easy.Once the frame is made everything else falls right into place. I have written up directions and  I've even added pictures to help guide you along. Click here to check out the directions.

Book Front

Inside front cover

Inside the book where the text would be

Close up side view of the pages

Open completely

Close up of those folds - inside

This is such a fun project to do and the images that I used are digital images from Sparkle N Sprinkle. They have a great array of "digi's" and I love having the flexibility of changing the size etc of the image when you use a "digi". And digital images are really reasonably priced, for those of us on a tight budget.

Images I used:

Thanks for joining us on our first blog hop for 2013.Before hopping on over to Shanna's blog, please leave a comment here on my blog to be eligible for a prize. Next up on the hop is the talented Shanna Shands hop over to see what she has in store for you.

In case you get lost here is a list in order of all the team members on today's hop.

** Jackie Smith ** Marie Berquist ** Barbara Bruder (you are here) ** Shanna Shands **

Have a great day and thanks for stopping in.

Hi, my Seester! Remember what I said during our skyping? LOL SO GORGEOUS - and romantic looking with the soft colors and pretty nature-scape. If you send this card to me, am I to assume I'm for the birds? LOL Gorgeous dry embossing, and so many details to feast upon - punches, die cuts, decorative edges, pop ups, pretty coloring and shading - the pleating - of course you have been pinned. xo

I have seen this kind of card before but never done one. Your version is really beautiful, Barb. I love your colors and use of embossing folders. AND I also like those digis. Again, I have never tried that, but I like what you said about changing the sizes. Soooo, I just might have to give it a try. Thanks for the info, sistah!
