The August Craft-Dee BowZ Blog Hop

Hello Everyone and welcome to my blog.

If you arrived here from Rebecca's blog then you have arrived at the right spot, if not, you may want to start at the Craft-Dee BowZ blog to see all the fabulous projects in the hop and to be eligible to win a prize.

I am the last designer in the blog hop. I hope you've had fun. The designers have really presented spectacular projects for the men in our lives. Seems that we need to make things for them from time to time!! Hope we've given you all some great ideas for your projects that you may have coming up.

Here is my project for your viewing pleasure.

The panel I made for my card utilized metallic tape you find in the hardware store. It is used primarily to seal duct work. It's metallic and also sticky on one side. This turns out to be a great element to use in card making and other craft projects as well.

I attached the tape to card stock and trimmed it to the size I needed for my panel. I then used an embossing folder to add the design. Plus, in using the design I chose, you don't see the seams of the tape, since the tape is only 2" wide.

Adding the cog embellishments continued with the masculine theme. Finally I had a stamp set that really is perfect for a masculine theme and stamping on striped DP in the brown tone ink, really ties everything together..

My bow - since most bows are pretty frilly, I just made a single loop bow to keep the tone on the masculine side. That ribbon is a beautiful chocolate brown sheer ribbon, so yummy, even if it is for a guy card.

I use the best bow maker - The Craft-Dee BowZ tool,  to make all my bows.
This tool will assist you in making the best bows.

The metal gears are a great embellishment. The brown bow does not take it away from being a masculine card. Any man would be happy to get this card. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, Barbara! Hope this finds you doing well. Fabulous card (and I really like how your bow resembles a bow-tie that your vintage men are wearing). The metal works look incredible with the theme! hugs, de

Thanks for showing us your masculine card, and for the hint to use the roll of metal sticky tape instead of the more expensive silver mylar sheets. Even if the seams did show, it would just add to the overall flavor of the card. Nice work.
