Coffee

Hello everyone

Hope you all are doing OK. Hang in there, it will get better.

I thought I'd pop in today with a card for all you coffee lovers. This card is also a perfect thank you for the coffee lover you may want to give a gift to.
I even added a spot for a gift card. Check out the card.

This card opens from the  bottom up
instead of from right to left, like a book.
Card front (Card closed)
I used a glass and inked the bottom rim to get my coffee rings

Just For You

Hello Everyone,

Hey, thanks for stopping in today.

Since its the first Tuesday of the month,
it's time for my Inspiration Tuesday project
over at Craft-Dee BowZ

Gosh!!  May is already here and we are about half done with spring.
Hope everyone is handling the changes in our lives pretty well.
I get lonely at times but other than that I am doing OK

I watched a video the other day and loved the way the background came out so I made one and used it on this card. This technique is easy and is perfect if you save scraps. And if you are like me, I save every scrap of paper in fear that I will need it or could use it in the future. So I went into my scraps drawers  (notice I said "drawers")  and got out some printed papers out and cut them into strips and made this background.
I just love the way it turned out!!!
click here to view the video I watched

Let me share my card with you.
I was in a red mood as I picked the papers and the ribbon for this card.

If you watch the youtube video, you will see that she uses glitter between the paper strips however it doesn't photograph well here, but it looks great on the card.

Let's check The Bow

For this card, I decided to use a triple loop bow.
As I was making the bow, that ribbon I used reminded me of hose (pantyhose). Very  very sheer. I love the way this ribbon works up into a bow.
Easy to manipulate and get those loops just right.

Here is a closer view of my bow.

I used my Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool.
Don't forget, the Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool is the best tool out there

that will aid you in making your bows.

The tool is small , easy to store, easy to use and so portable.

May 2020 Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge

Hello Crafters

Welcome to May and to another new month.
Warmer weather - ahhhh!!

May ushers in the start of a new
Craft-Dee BowZ challenge

Our sponsor this month is

Cute As A Button
The Winner will receive:
2 digital images
Click here to check out the digi's
over at Cute As A Button

I used the darling digital image
Hot Cocoa
on my card.

I took this shot at an overhead angle
to show off that foiling on the DP
I used a sheer ribbon and underneath is Hug Snug seam binding
I made this bow as a test to see how it would turn out
and how much work it would take to get the bow to suit me.
Not too bad IMHO
I cut the sheer ribbon first,
and decided the length to make a triple loop bow.
Next I cut the seam binding the same length.
After the cuts, I stacked the ribbons one on top of the other.
Next I made the bow the same way as I always do
Then I fussed with it a bit to have the seam binding show in some spots
and the sheer to show in different spots.

This gives a different look from a stacked bow.
(In stacking the bows I make 2 different bows
and then stack one on top of the other
and tie them together)

I use my Craft-Dee BowZ tool to make all my bows,
and its so easy to use.
The great thing about the Craft-Dee BowZ tool
is that it makes great smaller bows for cards or gift bags
as well as the larger bows to use on regular size gifts

If you are bow challenged - the CDB tool is for you.
The tool is small and makes great bows.
It's portable and easy to store.
