My February Stamping Club Project - Challenge Card

 Hello Everyone,

Welcome back!!!

Today I want to share my challenge card I made for the stamping club I am a member of.  Click here for more info about my cards for the monthly Stamping Club,

For the Challenge we were given a piece of decorative packing tape. (Sorry no pic of it before I used it.)

Well I decided to treat it as I would if it were decorative CS.

I also used a piece of clear acrylic and came up with a design that I thought was something easy to do and was different.

Here is what I made......

I made this card to be a get well card.

You can see the top and bottom border are using that tape. If I hadn't been given that tape, I would have never thought to use something like that. Hmm...... I guess I will look at decorative tape somewhat differently, from now on. LOL

I know as you look at the pic, you really cannot see that the middle panel is using clear acrylic, but its there. I made some butterflies to add to this card. I used a butterfly outline sticker on the larger butterfly and added it to a sheet of glossy paper after I colored it with alcohol inks. The smaller butterflies are made using a hand punch. The gold bodies of the punched butterflies were made using a VersaMark pen and gold embossing powder. They look great together.. I next stamped a sentiment and added that to to card front and the card is done.

Sometimes its amazing what we are given to use on our challenge cards. Its also amazing, the designs all the others in the group, come up with. Its truly amazing how the mind works, isn't it??

My February Stamping Club - Theme Card

Hello Everyone,

Welcome back!!!

I thought I'd pop in and share my Theme Card I made for my February Stamping Club get together. Click here for more info about my cards for the monthly Stamping Club,

The February theme was Gardening.

I decided to use stamps and papers and dies from Heartfelt Creations. Since HC has so many flower themes it  was a perfect fit, I thought. If you look thru the lattice fence you will see a cottage in the distance.

Here is a closer view of the flowers that I made for this card.

The flowers and stamps and dies are all from the Climbing Clematis Collection.

My February Stamping Club Tutorial Card

 Hey There!!

Welcome back!!

I thought I'd start sharing cards I make at or for a stamping club that meets at my house once a month. We have a theme card (themes are identified for the upcoming year and a list is provided to the members in December for the upcoming year.) We also bring a challenge card - The person giving the tutorial gives out something to use on a card and then we are to bring that "challenge" card to the next month's meeting. We draw numbers to determine which card we will receive since we "share". We draw numbers to receive a theme card and also for the challenge card.

I mentioned tutorials -  we take turns doing a tutorial and we make 1 new item, usually a card at the meeting. The person responsible for the tutorial of the month will provide all the components of the card and walks us thru the making of the card (or project). We take turns doing the tutorial and sign up at the beginning of the year for the month we want to do a tutorial.

Today I want to share the card we learned to make from Carol who presented the tutorial for the Feb. meeting. This month we made a Valentine card. This is such an easy card and goes together very quickly.

Here is the finished card

Happy Valentine's Day

 Welcome back!!!

Hope you are doing well!! Still cold here in the Ohio Valley region, but at least it was sunny today.

Time for another Valentine card. I used scraps in making this card. And we all know we have plenty of scraps.(At least I sure do!!)

This is another easy peasy card.
Lots of layers and great use of designer paper scraps.
I used circle dies, a heart punch and just hand cut the rest of the layers.
Stamped the sentiment on the circle and the card is done.

This card is a 5X7

Well that's it for now.
Hope this inspires you

Another Valentine Card

 Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to keep warm hope you are keeping warm and staying safe. The rain/ice/snow storm is over here in my area. Thank the Lord for small favors. LOL. I ventured out this afternoon, I just walked to my mailbox. Not as much snow that I thought. we got. That's a good thing. Spring will be here in 44 days, but who's counting!!

I am back today with another Valentine Card. Yep another inspiration card, LOL.

This is a 6X6 square card and it turned out so nice. Everything is from my stash. I'm sure you have things in your stash that would work for you to make a card similar to this. A couple of dies  - Memory Box (Cherish Border), an an old Sizzix envelope die,  a few punches and a stamp and you've got a card.

I am submitting this card in the following challenges:

Hope this card gives you inspiration for a Valentine's Day card you might still need to make.

This card is available at The Black Goose - waiting just for you.

I will be back soon with a couple more Valentine Day cards.

Valentine's Day is coming

 Hello all,

The weather here has been really wintery lately. So I have been busy making some Valentine cards. You know it's getting to be that time, making a card or two for that special someone, whether it's an adult or a child. I think it's always nice to send and receive a Valentine card.

Here is something a little different and yet easy to make. I love the design of this card. I call it a Corner Pop Up Card

Here is the card closed

Upon opening the card, this heart pops up. What a cute surprise.
There is space on the inside for the sender to write their own note.

I used some stamps, dies and punches already in my stash to make this card.

I sell some of my cards at The Black Goose, in Union Ky. They sell some antiques, and unique gifts for all different occasions. They have so many great items, you can't see it all in one visit, trust me!!.

They also have a coffee bar with great coffee and teas and sweets. If you live in the area or will be driving thru, you might want to stop by, you will not be sorry.

Back to my card----- This card is already at The Black Goose, just waiting for someone to purchase it for the upcoming card sending, sweets giving day. Valentine's Day will be here before we know it.

I am submitting my card in the following challenges:

Well, that's all for today, I will be back with a few more Valentine cards to inspire you to make some of your own.

Thanks for stopping in. Stay safe and warm
