Tickling Snowman

Hello everyone!!!
Are you believing it. It's November and pretty soon we will be celebrating Thanksgiving and then Christmas will be following!! Time is going by way too quick.

I have been working on making cards, keepsake boxes, pop & twist cards, ornaments and bag toppers for a show that takes place in downtown Cincinnati this weekend at the Duke Energy Center. I have a spot in the L&M Busy Hands booth. Myself,  and about 17 other crafters, will be having our handcrafted items for sale. If you are in the greater Cincinnati area, I hope you can stop by and check out all the vendors and stop by at the L&M Busy Hands booth and say "Hi". We'd all love to see ya.

Since I worked on bag toppers for the show,  I decided to use a bag topper as my inspiration piece for the November Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge. I love bag toppers. They really dress up a plain gift bag.Bag Toppers show off your creative side and really make that gift extra special.

I used the cutest snowman image from Kinda Cute by Patricia, this months sponsor at Craft-Dee BowZ. Let me show you how this project turned out.

Here are some closer views of this project

The digital image from Kinda Cute by Patricia is
Tickling Snowman and can be found here

My bow

I added some snowflake ribbon in keeping with that snowman image.

Of course, I used my Craft-Dee BowZ bow making tool to make my bow.
I also used Hug Snug seam binding for my ribbon.

You can order your very own tool over on the Craft-Dee BowZ site.

Well, I have to get back to the booth to add the finishing touches to my fixture and to assist where needed with the other crafters in the booth.

Hope you enjoyed my project and I will be back real soon with more fun projects.

Have a great week.

Peace

Hey!! How's it going today???

July 1 already and boy the time is clicking by, isn't it!!

It's time for the next monthly challenge over at Craft-Dee BowZ.

The sponsor this month is

I am using a darling pigeon image that I thought looked like a dove.
So I colored it more like a dove

Here is a closer view if this cool pigeon
It's hard to see the gray tones, but I used  gray on the edges of the wings and the neck area

The Bow -
I used a single loop bow. Thought a fancier bow wouldn't look right.

Don't forget, the best bow maker tool is available here. Just look at the left sidebar to order yours.

Here is a closer look at that bow.

Just a simple bow for this card.

Hello

Hello everyone and welcome to MAY!!!

I am hoping that May brings warmer temperatures in my area, (Oh one can only wish. LOL)  I think winter just doesn't want to give up so we will probably have a short spring or it will by-pass us all together, Then it will be on to hot and humid til mid-September.

Speaking of May, it's time for the start of the May challenge over at Craft-Dee BowZ.
The April winners have been announced. So take a minute to check out the winners' list.

Have you checked out her digi's yet?
Click here to check out her adorable collection.
They are all so cute.
I decided to use an adorable duck from her collection.

So, here is a little inspiration for you
using that duck.

That face on this duck is so precious, isn't it!!!
That would be a cute image for a baby card, too.

I decided to add a simple bow to this card.
It's just a single loop bow.
I didn't want to take away from the duck

Here is a closer view of my bow

Hello My Friend

Hello everyone

Welcome to March!!
You know the ole folklore saying "in like a lion out like a lamb"  or vise versa.
Here is a spot that has some good info about this old folklore.

Here are some great things that March usually brings:

  • Spring begins this month
  •  the time changes this month (which I really don't care for)
  •  warmer weather
  •  green grass.
So many things start to change in March.

March 1 is also the start of the next Craft-Dee BowZ challenge and the sponsor is

The winner will receive
 3 digital images

I decided to use the cutest image  (IMHO) - Nina

She looked like she is sitting with something on her lap,
so, I made it look like she was reading a book.

Here is a closer view of my bow.

I made a triple loop bow for this card and added a silk flower on top of the knot.

If you are a bow challenged crafter, the Craft-Dee BowZ will end that dilemma.
There are instructions that come with the tool as well as a whole host of youtube videos that will guide you along.

This small tool is easy to store or take with you to a crop or a friends house.
This tool is small but makes some mighty cool bows.
Order yours thru the Craft-Dee BowZ site here

I hope you’ve enjoyed my project. Hope you will link a project in the Craft-Dee BowZ monthly challenge. Don’t forget the theme every month is always Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow.  Also, on each Tuesday of the month, a different designer will post over on the Craft-Dee BowZ blog to inspire you!

I am submitting my card to the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by today. I will be back Tuesday with another project for you to check out

Oh goodie, I can't wait.

So, based on the weather we've been having, I decided to use the cute penguin image. OK with a penguin, I pictured an igloo, yep, they kinda go together, and then there is snow
so with that in mind, this is what I put together

69 days til spring!!
