Colorful Fall Wishes

Welcome back blogger friends,

Today is the start of a new challenge over at Crafty Creations Challenges. The theme for this challenge is Colorful and the sponsor is SLS Lines.

I decided to use colors of the fall season in my card and I used the pretty digital image Fairy with Butterfly Wings. Turned out to be a cool combination.

Here is a full front view.

This adorable fairy is sitting on her foot stool.
I used some silk leaves in the green tones as well as the fall colors.
I also added an embossed panel that  started out as a silver metallic cardstock, but I used alcohol inks on it to bring it into the fall season (I embossed it with a swirl embossing folder.)
I also used s designer paper in a dusty rose color to add interest. Lastly, I added the same alcohol ink color to my Hug Snug Seam Binding that I use for ribbon.

    Joy

    Hi Everyone,

Have you missed me??  I  was away teaching and then I took a week of vacation to give my muse a rest.

Here is a quick post to share with you, a wonderful Christmas card. You know that season is coming up fast.

I decided it was time to get out some washi tape and use it on this card. I'm sure I am not the only one who buys the stuff and it sits and waits to be used. So with that in mind here is my card:

I love stars and I just happened to have DP with gold stars on the deep red paper. And I also had a Spellbinders Star set, so I was in business for this card. I added my washi tape first and then positioned the stars and lastly added those glitter dots. I love those things. They just add a great finishing touch to the card.

    Time for a Tweet

    Welcome back to my blog!!

Today it's time to see whats going on over at Crafty Creations Challenges. The challenge theme is "No Blue" or "A card to cheer someone up".

Here is the card I decided on and I hope it cheers you up!!

The sponsor at Crafty Creations Challenges for this challenge is  Robyn's Fetish. I used
an image called"A Little Birdie Told Me" They have a few other bird images available, so it was hard for me to choose, but I liked this one the best since he is sitting on a tree stump, surrounded by some flowers. I popped the flowers and the bird up with dimensional foam, added a fence and some cattails and a couple of clouds to finish this card off. And what's a card without a bow.

The latest challenge over at Crafty Creations Challenges will last for 2 weeks so you have some time to get your submission in. We'd all like to see your take on the theme,

What an awesome Blog Hop theme, Pretty in Pink (October is Breast Cancer Awareness month). I am the last of the designers in the hop. I am sure you have seen some wonderful designs graced with beautiful bows, all made using the Craft-Dee BowZ tool.  Let me share my project, which is a card,

I made a layered bow using two different ribbons. The bottom bow is a sheer glittered ribbon and I made a triple loop bow.Next I made a smaller, single loop bow and stacked the smaller bow on top of the larger bow.

Here is a closer view of the bow

You know the Craft-Dee BowZ has the best bow making tool out there....bar none.
