Season's Greetings

 Hi Everyone,

I am back today with a Christmas card.  I know I might be rushing the season, but the more Christmas cards I finish now, the fewer I need to make later on. LOL

This is a card I made for the monthly club meeting that I host here in my home.

The card theme for June was to use plaid. And plaid always make me think of Christmas. So that's where I went with this card.

I started out with a white 6X6 card and next added a green layer. On top of that I used a plaid CS layer as the background. I decided to add a gold oval in the center of the card and use trees as the focal point. I also embossed the trees with dots and added glitter glue to add sparkle to those trees. I used strips of gold CS to add a border to the top and the bottom areas of the card, I had a sentiment that fit well with the card and used gold embossing powder to continue with the gold in the card.

These are the items I used on the card:
  • CS - White, plaid, gold, green, red
  • Dies - Oval, Trees (Spellbinders)
  • Ink - VersaMark
  • Misc - Gold EP
  • Stamp Sentiment - Inkadinkado Happy Holidays (Really old set)
Another Christmas card done, and many more to do LOL

I am submitting this card to the following challenges:

Hello

 Hi there everyone,

Thought I'd pop in and share with you a card I made for the monthly stamp club that meets here in my home. This card was for the challenge theme of using some stickers I handed out at the May meeting.

These stickers are so cute IMHO. I get them at the Dollar Tree and they are in the craft section. They are 3D and come pre-colored and you get 5-6 in each pack. I am hooked on them. The leaves you see on the card are in a leaf set also at the Dollar Tree. These stickers really assist you in making a card in quick fashion.(Yes, these are stickers, however I attach them to some CS and trim the CS away and attach to my card with hot glue. I just don't think the adhesive on the backs of the stickers is strong enough.)

I decided to use some small square frames and the solid squares that pop out of the frames when I make my die cuts. I embossed the solid squares with dots for added interest. I also added a border all the way around the card using a gold border sticker. This card is a 5X7 size

Well this card came together very quickly.

Products I used on this card:
  • White CS, Purple CS
  • Flowers nd leaves stickers from Dollar Tree
  • Square Dies
  • Border Stickers
  • Memento Elderberry Ink
  • Stamp Hello (Old)
I am submitting my card in the following challenges:

Hope this card will give you some ideas for a future card.

Thanks for stopping by today. I will be back soon

Baby

Hello all !!!

Boy I have been side tracked for a while and thought I'd hop in and share a card I made last nite.

I need to make a few baby boy and girl cards and a baby book. Working on an order for a friend and need to get started on my class stuff for my Stampaway classes. Stampaway will be here in the blink of an eye. So many things to do, so little time.

OK let me share a baby card I finished tonite.

Used some old DP, pink CS and some die cuts from Impression Obsession - Circle Baby Cutout set. My card is a 5X7 and those pink strips are 1/4" wide

Hope this is a design that you might want to try, it's easy and you can use scraps, I did.

I will be submitting this to the following challenges:

Hope I have inspired you. This is a fun and easy card to make.

Have a wonderful rest of your week.

See ya soon

Hello Spring

Hello Everyone

I think I'm on a flower roll. (LOL)
I made  this card for my club meeting that took place Tuesday evening.  We were given a 12X12 piece of DP and we were challenged to use some of it in a project.

So after looking at that DP for 3 weeks I finally decided what I wanted to do. I cut a strip off and added it on the left side of my 5X7 card base. Then I spied those round flowers on that strip and it reminded me of  a stamp from years ago that was a circle with a spiral within the circle. You cut along the spiral and then using a quilling tool turn the paper. Let the paper relax and there you have flowers. I used yellow CS and added some green ink to the edges of my flowers. The sentiment was also on that 12X12 paper.

Here is the 12X12 we were to use for the challenge project

I love the challenge project each month. We are given something to use for the next months challenge project and there are times that it really is a challenge, at least for me it is. LOL. We generally all make cards. Sometimes I have to look at the challenge stuff we are given for a while til the idea pops in my brain.

I am submitting my card in the following challenges:

Hope this card gives you ideas.

Thanks for stopping by. I will be back soon
